What new features will I get in Logos 5 Minimal Crossgrade
Hi
When I compare the minimal cross-grade with other upgrade package, Logos website said cross-grade does not include any features so will i only get those features depend on the Dataset that is included in the cross-grade package and nothing more?
But on the product page for minimal crossgrade it state,
"A bare-bones crossgrade to Logos 5. The Minimal Crossgrade includes all the new Logos 5 features and datasets, plus a small collection of resources that equip you to use them."
Can someone clarify this for me please? The feature I am looking for are those show on the the following three web pages

Could you post a screenshot from where you infer that the MC will not include any features? At some point in time, Logos took the subsection "features" out of the comparison page - maybe this was an error, maybe it was on purpose since a) it was highly redundant to the datasets above and b) some people complained about software features not being free. But this doesn't say there are no features in MC (or none in Portfolio, for that matter!)

There you have it. In contrast to Core Datasets and also in contrast to e.g. Starter, MC includes all the new features (plus some few resources/interlinears). That's it.

This discrepancy - features provided by minimal crossgrade showing as zero - is recognised as a problem and has been reported.
See Bradley's post at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/59972/426536.aspx#426536 regarding this.

I bought and installed the Minimal crossgrade and the installation is all right. I can see the new books. But I don't see any new features.
The version is still version 4?
How can I start for example the timeline?

Type "Update Now" without the quotes into the command bar. That should be enough to get the installation to start up. L5 is supposed to install like a normal update, over your current L4.

The option that worked for me was calling customer service and requesting them to email me the link to the L5 download.
Others have suggested going to your orders page on the Logos site, then clicking on the order number of the package that you bought. That never worked for me though.

Are you running on Mac or Windows?
People have talked about something like this on Mac - see threads below for examples:

Apparently, both applications are still present on Mac and some people are starting L4 as opposed to L5 by mistake.

I am using Windows Vista, and I also have some of my own special setups in it. My solution was:
I went back to my order summary and pressed the red button: "Download for PC". Then it installed the Logos 5 engine.
Earlier I had assumed that everything goes as an automatic update, the same way as the 4.6 upgrade on top of 4.5, but then I got only the new books.
The timeline works now, I guess I'll stay as a happy user!
