If you "upgraded" to L5 Platinum from L4, what resources made it a good buy for you?

The three examples you mentioned I already had so that did not influence my decision. They are well worth having.

NA28. While it doesn't have many changes (from what I've read), it will probably cost about $100 when available individually.

I don't find Lenski, Lange, and The Wesleyan Tradition commentaries compelling, but others might. Expositor's Greek and Preaching the Word are worth having if you don't already have them.

Rosscup's Exposition of Prayer is appreciated by quite a few here. I haven't had time to get into it yet.

Well there were some commentary sets that pretty much clinched it for me: Lange, Lenski and Alford put it over the top that I remember. I also wanted the 28th NA Greek text to stay current.I'm sure there's a lot more that could be made to bear on a decision. Blacks, Expositor's Greek were also very desirable. I'm not sure there will be anything so endearing by the time L6 rolls around, but this was close to being a no-brainer for me.

God was also gracious enough to provide for this, because I sure wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise. [:D]

I'm curious as to what resources made the upgrade a worthy buy for you?

L5 is certainly worth the $159.95 Minimal Crossgrade. I am thrilled with all the new features that I have used in the last 2 weeks and know there is much more to be explored. Just deduct that amount from the base pkg upgrade price and compare that to the value of the resources that you will be gaining.

I'm a Sunday School teacher. I upgraded from Gold to Platinum when it was introduced 3 yrs. ago. L5 Platinum is not nearly as exciting as an upgrade as it was 3 yrs. ago. I printed out the comparison spreadsheet that someone had posted early on. Some of the additional titles are certainly not "A" list titles. 

It boiled down to these facts:  I wanted to get Gold level to get all the L5 features. There was only $120 difference for me to move up to Platinum, since I already had some of the new titles (including 2 of the 3 new NAC titles and the Exegetical Summaries). 

I have had the print version of Lenski for decades, so I'm glad to now have it in my Logos library, as well as Black's. I haven't had time to examine the other commentary additions to see their value to me.

I had wanted Rosscup's 2900 page Exposition on Prayer since Logos added it a few years ago. I was reluctant to spend that much money, thinking I would never read through that many pages on prayer. It is really arranged as a commentary on every prayer in the Bible, including good introductory material to each book. There were 7 pages on the 25 verses of Philemon.

I now view as it as another one of the unique specialty reference works that I have in my Logos library like Commentary on the NT Use of the OT and the "Black" IVP dictionaries. Those kind of resources do a job that nothing else quite does.

I have no regrets with my decision.

BTW--I had always said I wished that Logos had a pkg bridging the gap between Platinum and Portfolio. I decided the Diamond pkg did not warrant the extra money for me. I would be better off buying the titles that I really wanted and keeping the change.

I did add the AYBD in the CUSTOMIZE button while it was listed at a great price. Someone said that if you added your upgrade to your basket you could go out to the Black Friday sale, add in the AYBD and the CUSTOMIZE price of $154.95 (?) appeared. Worth a try if you're interested. Or ask your salesman. 

Be sure to review the other items available at the CUSTOMIZE button. Great resources at a great price, but I already had everything else that I wanted.
