Trying to upload mp3 for background

I've created an mp3 to use for background by compiling several songs into a single mp3. When I attempt to upload to proclaim, I receive an error stating "Proclaim only supports mp3 audio files for upload." I am able to use the exact same file and select "Local to this computer only" and it works fine. I would like to upload this rather than run it just local.

It's not the same issue exactly, but when we upload an .mp3 to our group it can only be accessed on the local machine. Why?

Douglas - My guess is that your problem likely has to do with how your edited mp3 file is being encoded. What program are you using to splice your songs together?

- When you say it can "only be accessed on the local machine", does this mean it is not playing when you sync your presentation and play the presentation on a separate machine? Are you saying you can't find it or add it from your Proclaim library?

One other thing, that I will post here in case it might prove useful to others: if your "compilation mp3" consists simply of a few different songs stuck together one after the other, you could try the playlist feature. Each audio item can hold multiple mp3s, so you can simply add multiple songs and Proclaim will play them one after the other, with no need to create one big "omnibus" mp3 separately.

Windows 7 on all machines. We uploaded to sync group, plays fine on local computer during presentation. I went to make edits on my computer at home and I had a yellow triangle with ! in the middle beside the file. It showed that there was supposed to be a file there but it was like it could not locate it.

The yellow triangle appears beside the file when you have chosen to make the file "Local to this computer only." Perhaps you accidentally clicked the wrong radio button when adding the file by mistake? Are you able to consistently reproduce this problem when the radio button is set to "Upload and sync to group"?

Yes, I discovered the playlist feature yesterday but I still have some other mp3s I've created for sound effects for a skit we're doing and that mp3 won't upload either.

It turns out that it is because the file was saved with MP3 as the extension in all caps. When I changed it to mp3, it worked. Minor little bug in proclaim as it shouldn't be case sensitive on the file type.
