Hi, I recently upgraded to L5 from L4 but I dragged a problem that refuses to go away. I have lots of notes on my computer (plenty of memory, 1T hard drive and 8GB of ram) yet, when I begin to highlight a verse with colors, the integrity of the entire software begins to falter, to the point that it affects the entire computer (Word, e-mail, web in the sense that I cannot highlight anything without having the same issue). This has been going on for a few years now. I had other computers in the past and all of them carried the same problem (so the issue is with Logos)
Issue at hand:
1. Sometimes (not all the time) when I create a blank note, and before I write my thoughts, I get duplicates notes(which forces me to delete the extra one).
2. Sometimes, when highlighting a verse in order to color it, it won't hold. What I need to do is to repeat the process 5-10 times until it finally the verse is highlighted. Then I proceed to write my note (this issue is dragged to Word to when I use it)
3. When I highlight a verse or a word, and I'm ready to add a note to a book (my notes are called "gleanings of the particular book I'm reading) the entire page begin to shake. This forces me to close the page and open it again until the shaking stops.
I had lots and lots of highlighting that I created on my own from google images using pictures (e.g. the picture of a tabernacle that I used to highlight over the word "covenant." The picture of a a divine lion to highlight over the word "Lord" in the NT, etc)...
These highlightings were applied to my favorite bible only. I also used underlines (green, blue, double, with label texts at the bottom to emphasize the meaning, etc), but the more I created new pictures, the worse the program responded. So, based on that I began to delete all my work until there was nothing left except my notes.
Previously, I had copied and pasted notes from other Bible Softwares into Logos. I thought that might be the problem, so I proceeded to deleted all of them thinking that this "crossover" might have compromised the integrity of L5 (and L4 before), but it did nothing to make it better.
As of right now, the program looks "good" (as long as I don't add any highlights), but it still has some "leftovers" that tells me this thing is not going away just by removing all my highlights.
Finally, after I deleted all my highlights and had the program to the level of "normal", I tried something new. I began to highlight all the words of God in the OT in red to see what would happen. After a while the entire thing began to "crumble" again. So, I deleted the whole thing from my documents in one stroke... So, I'm back where I started from.
Apparently I'm stuck. I called Logos once but all they did was to delet as much highlighing that I allowed them to, but there was no help at all. By the way, I only have one computer in the house and one iPad.
Any suggestions how to fix this monster? It is really taking away from the fun of doing a serious bible study because I don't want to do without my highlights.
I would appreciate if some of you had similart problems and how you went about it.
Thanks guys. I treasure your knowledge and your help...
