4.6b B1: Ratings
Collections
- Fixed bug which caused existing collections utilizing ratings to employ both personal and community ratings. Note:
To set up a Collection for personal ratings use ‘myrating:x’. Existing
collections using ratings have been migrating to use this tag.
I note that rating:x works the same as myrating:x - is this temporary?

"rating:x" shows the merged user and community rating. If Community Ratings aren't downloaded, it will be the same as "myrating".

My Q was restricted to 4.6b Beta, though i.e. are community ratings downloaded to 4.6b?
Are community ratings downloaded to v5 if we elect not to show them?

I hope I am misunderstanding you… As someone who actually LIKES the idea of community ratings, highlights, tags, etc… I would NOT want community ratings and my ratings merged. I can't see any benefit to having them merged.

As someone who has no personal interest in using them but sees value in them for others, I also think there should be a complete separation.

I think MJ is right that they should be separated - presumably this means that we should have options for "rating" and "myrating" (and similar for tags) as columns in the library?
