Hello, I'm wanting to use Proclaim in my church but without using signals. Is there a way to change a setting or something that would take the signals out and eliminate the signal logo on the bottom right-hand corner? Thanks! MG
You can remove signals once they have been added by going to the Signals tab and clicking the "x" next to the one you want to delete. However, signals are automatically added for Bible verses and can not be deleted. Although you may not want to use Signals, there could be people in your church using our free Logos or Faithlife Bible app to receive the Bible verses.
Hmmm... There should be a way to delete unwanted automatic signals. Last Sunday, our announcement slides (uploaded power point slides), which contained no Bible references, had a signal automatically attached "1 Esdras 9" and I couldn't delete it. It is obviously erronious and Proclaim must have picked up something in the file it interpreted as a Bible verse that was not intended. I think this is a problem and want a way to delete any signal, automatic or not.
Refering to the above post, it should be the choice of the local church leadership whether or not to signal Bible verses (or put any other signal out), not the Proclaim developers.
We will look into the error on the PowerPoint upload. If a scripture is detected in text a Bible verse Signal will be added, but these can always be deleted unless they are specifically on a Bible verse content slide.
Hi Matthew,
Thanks for having them check the PP upload signal errors.
However, I think you are mistaken in that you stated signals automatically added to content slides other than Bible content slides can be deleted. I put Scripture references into a sermon content slide and Proclaim generated a signal automatically (as currently expected), but I was not able to delete it (no red X in the upper right corner when you mouse over the signal name). If I manually add a signal, the red X appears and I can delete it. This is apparently true for power point slides as well, but song slides do not seem to generate automatic signals. I haven't been able to test webpages or image slides.
I also noticed an anomaly with the automatic signal generation in that when I would type in a reference in James, no automatic signal appeared. I tried several chapters and verses.
I can appreciate that those who have the apps to receive signals might want to use them, but the decision to generally use signals (or any other feature of Proclaim, since it is for public presentations) in the first place should rest with the local church leadership. The local church leaders should have the final say and anyone in their congregation who has the Bible app and wants to use it in that location, should take it up with the local leaders. I don't think the Logos or the Proclaim developers should presume to trump local church leadership in this matter.
Thanks.

How would you then handle multiple slides (non PP) that listed a bulleted outline in which each bullet is brought in individually while maintaining the information previously with a Bible reference? The Problem as I am now finding out, you send the same Bible verse out every time that bullet appears on the side. ;-(
