Slide Time????

How in the world can I change the running times for each slide?? As well is there anyway to make the slides totally manual, not follow the service time.

Content and Image Slideshow items have the option to select exactly how long they will display in the Warmup and Pre-service sections. Video items will always play for their full duration by default.
Song and Bible items are assigned a duration based on the amount of text on each slide.
This is not something we can change at this point, but I would encourage you to post any suggestions for improvement to our UserVoice page here: http://proclaim.uservoice.com/

It is during the warm-up and pre-service sections that I cannot change the time per slide. I see the seconds but I do not know how to change it. It must be right in front of me, but I cannot figure it out.

Hi Jim, it can be easy to miss. You'll want to go to the Content tab for the slide you want to change the timing for, and at the bottom you'll see an option to "Auto-advance every X seconds". Check the box, and then select how many seconds you'd like this slide to display. You can either choose one of the pre-selected options from the drop-down, or enter your own custom number of seconds.

I'm having problems with this too, but my problem is that I do not have the Auto advance box check and in the warm up it still auto advances. Is there a way to just do this manually in the warmup and service sections??? My church just bought this license less than a week and we have not been able to use it because of this auto advance thing.

The idea behind the warm up is to loop several items before the service starts... to not want a slide to auto advance would mean you don't want to use the warm up feature. I guess you can have 1 slide in the warm up so it loops that one.
If you want one particular slide up longer than the others, you can set the time to 1 minute for whatever.

I think the problem is that Proclaim is trying to dictate how church services are to proceed. This is not their job, their job is to provide a flexible, customizable tool, leaving it up to the church leaders to determine the process. For example, in warm-up each and every slide's time interval should be able to be changed. Additionally, there should be a manual mode for EVERYTHING. Proclaim needs to stop dictating service process and order. Unfortunately this is the characteristics of a underdeveloped piece of software. I am going to give them some more time, but if they do not progress quickly (much quicker than Logos transition to the Mac platform) I will be back with ProPresenter.

I just checked my presentation. I have 5 items in the Pre Service loop, I am able to change the time before it goes to the next slide on all but the videos, which go by the video time.
I havent tried this but if you want a completely manual experience like ProPresenter could you not put anything in PreService or Warm up and just put everything in the service section so you have to control it manually?
By design, the preservice section is supposed to loop and the warm up section displays something different (i use it for a 3:00 countdown) That i love!! with propresenter i always had to run back to the computer and watch the clock to make sure we start on time. With proclain i just set it and forget it

Rather than assuming their motive is one of dictating services, it is just as conceivable and logical to assume that they are attempting to fit into the way most of their customers/user base do things. Perhaps you/your church isn't in that group, or at least not entirely... and that is totally fine, there's nothing biblical to state what the sever order ought to be. I have not seen anything from Proclaim or Logos that would make me use the word "dictate."
For us, the way "they" have Proclaim setup is pretty much how we would do it anyways. They aren't dictating anything; they're providing a tool to do what we want to do. If we didn't want to do it the way Proclaim does it, we can use something else. One reason we are using Proclaim right now, instead of Media Shout, is that Media Shout, because it was so customizeable, was harder/more complex to do simple things with. Like a loop, followed by a warmup section. And it didn't have a fancy "start warmup section automatically so that you arrive at the first slide at 10:30am" as far as I am aware.
All that said, I agree that it'd be nice to be able to change the time interval in the warm-up section. IMO, as an amateur software developer (Android apps) and day-job software tester, I would prefer for them to get the main things working and fix bugs, etc., before various small details. I know how long it takes to write, test, etc., features and changes before introducing them into a production setting - since I'm involved in that testing part as part of my job - especially when that "production" setting involves worship.
Regardless of presentation tool, I pray God blesses your service for Him and His bride!

Sorry to offend you, can you just let a guy be frustrated, blow off a little steam and not be so serious.

I am not offended and have no reason to be, as it was not directed at me.

I know this is an old thread, but I just put in a custom time of 99999 seconds and it works the same as changing manually. Hope this helps someone.
