RC1 Release: Disappointing
Many bugs from this beta remain unanswered and now we are at RC1!?
I shouldn't need to list these bugs, but I also include regression bugs from Logos 4 brought up in the first L5 beta.
Incomplete features that don't deserve this RC1 accolade include:
- "active" layout - when the label doesn't stick after a restart
- mobile sync - when I still have two devices with the same name and different apps
- History sync - history list is unorganised

"active" layout - when the label doesn't stick after a restart
I am able to reproduce this by following these steps:
- Select "Most recent layout - any" or "Most recent layout - local" in the "At Startup Open to" setting in Program Settings
- Open a named layout (so it is now the active layout)
- Close and reopen the program
The result from following those steps is that the panels open are correct, but the layout name is not displayed at the top of the program window. This is a bug. I will create a case for this.
mobile sync - when I still have two devices with the same name and different apps
You will have to fix this manually by removing one of the devices on your Account page on Logos.com. If this problem reoccurs after you remove the device, please let us know.
History sync - history list is unorganised
This isn't so much a bug as it is a design question. I will create a case for this.

Well, this was a well kept secret. I trust it will be documented soon.
The duplicated device is samsung GT-I9000. I went to my Account settings, deleted the device that showed both Vyrso and Logos apps in the ESV bible Information, then renamed the other device and saved it. After 15 min nothing has changed in the desktop RC1. I reopened the ESV twice, then restarted Logos to finally get the change. This should also be documented.
Whether I deleted the correct duplicate remains to be seen...

Thank you - this was one of the issues I reported earlier.

This is the most disappointing RC release in my memory.
BSL practically unusable in 5.0b Mac.
Sentence Diagramming is a mess.

This is a change?[*-)]
Okay, I like the feature ... but I rarely do them in Logos because it is such a slow process.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Peace, Martha! You have a great list of sentence diagrams in your Sentence Diagram Group. I downloaded one of them today to my Logos 5 Desktop and look forward to learning as I work with it!
Thank you for your patience!
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

In that case, what do you use?

Unfortunately few of them are my work - most came from offerings in Files.

Can you please elaborate on this? The issue originally reported here, should be fixed in RC1. If you are still experiencing the crash, can you please update that thread with new logs?

OK, it works now. Had given up trying it as BSL was 100% guaranteed to cause a crash. Did not see the fix in the Release Notes.
