When I click on remove from library under my content, nothing happens.
Mac version
Thanks
Harold
Fix coming in Beta 3.
Beta 3 is out. I can't figure out how to delete slides/content in my mac version.
Right click Remove from library in the My Content section of the store to remove custom uploads. Currently it looks like nothing has happened but the item will be removed once the server media index rebuilds (~1 minute).
Still can't remove images from my content library. Running the latest version. When I click "Remove from library" it appears to be doing something but when I scroll back down, the image remains.
Did you try looking for the removed image a few minutes later?
The images are hosted on our server, so they will sometimes take a few minutes to actually disappear from your library.
I'd be curious to know if those images are still there today.
Thanks,
Yes, the images remain. I have tried with the Beta version on Mac and the current version without success. Any ideas?
You're still running the Beta version of Proclaim on your Mac? Do you have an internet connection on that machine? It is not recommended to run an older version on one of your machines as presentations made with the new code can cause instability on older versions.
I am not running the Beta version. I was finally able to remove images from my library yesterday! Everything is running GREAT! Kudos on a super too for worship and also great support!
Blessings
After a week of thinking I had been successful deleting images from my image bank, they randomly reappeared. Sometimes they are all there and then sometimes they are not and it varies from computer to computer. What is up? When I delete an image form my image bank isn't it removed from your server? I have learned to load our sermons locally so that the images don't hang around, but I still have about 200 images from previous weeks that need to be deleted. Any ideas?
I feel your pain, Carol. I now have about 150 slides from date-specific announcements or sermon points that I cannot delete. Your idea about loading the sermon points locally is a good work-around - thank you - but I really enjoy the benefits of the cloud because I can make adjustments from home, work, coffee shop, etc. (Okay, I'm from the Pacific Northwest, so that last location is a necessity!) We are immensely impressed with Proclaim and there's no going back to our old program - my projectionists would revolt. So this comment is for the Proclaim tech team: please, any ideas about what's going on here?
There is a known issue (we are working on a fix) that causes media uploaded to a slide type to be separate from the other types.
That is, uploading media to a Content item makes that media available to Bible, Content and Song items, but removing that media from a Content item still leaves it available to Bible and Song items.
So, for the moment you'll need to remove your media from all three slide types in order for it to be completely removed.
Thanks, Hunter. It finally made sense to me. Appreciate your quick response and patience. So if I understand the architecture correctly, there are three distinct repositories for uploads because if I upload a background jpeg, I would want it available in all three places. Not so for announcement jpegs and sermon points. I see your dilemma. Perhaps you could add a dialogue box to the upload process that gave the option of defining the folder in which to store the file. Your team has always come up with intuitive and creative way to fix things. Looking forward to your solution.
Probably the best thing I have started to do is to tag all of my images that I use for backgrounds. Then I can search and ignore all of the extraneous images. It works great!
Thanks for the idea, Carol. Do you use any particular naming conventions to make the backgrounds easier to find?
I try to come up with as many tags as I can. For example...mountain, sky, orange, purple, water. That might describe a mountain scene. Or if I like a background for a particular song, I will tag it with that plus other words describing the scene. If it is a motion, I start with motion and then get more specific. I hope that helps.
Thanks, Carol. We'll give that a go. I think we'll start making our sermon slides (which are always date-specific) local resources. They constitute about half of our currently undeletable files. Eventually I hope to have only re-usable items in that folder.
That is what I have been doing. I load the sermon locally and I still load announcements in the bank but with the tagging system, you can sort of ignore everything in the bank.
Hi Hunter, I have been having the same problem for a while... and it's not on a mac, it's on a pc.
I have tried what you said above, deleting the content by adding a content slide item, selecting background, finding the image, and trying to remove it (which does nothing it seems), then I add a bible item, click on background, find the same item in the library, and try remove it, and do the same steps for image slideshow and song items... but it's still there, along with masses of older images that I've tried to remove in the past. Also is there a way to select more than one item so that we can remove many and not just the one?
Aside from that, I'm really enjoying proclaim, so well done guys!

Not at the moment, Charles. The limitations you mention to the media management system in Proclaim are well known to our developers. They are working on a new system to make this much more user-friendly and intuitive.
I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime. I'd recommend you tag your related media for faster searching and filtering. The media is hosted on our server so there isn't a cost to keeping it there other than clutter.
Hi, I have the same problem with hundreds of images from weekly announcment slides that were part of long deleted image slide shows and many, many of them duplicates, which will take hours to delete one at a time (it takes 3-5 seconds for the screen to refresh after each is delete). Is there a way to select large groups of images and delete them all?
Also, can you push the default product images in My Content to the bottom of the stack or allow them to also be deleted so it doesn't take so long to scroll down (waiting for the screen to refresh with each scroll) to find the one custom image I'm looking for?
Thanks.
To avoid all of the scrolling try tagging all of your images. I do this in detail and never have to wade through the old undeleted images. It really works well.
No, there isn't a way to multi-select or delete multiples at this time. Has the media you deleted been removed at this point? There is a little lag time between removal from the library and removal from our server...
Using the tag to identify the images to be deleted (as Carol suggested) has worked well, albeit, is a bit on the tedious side. I have gone to the backgrounds folder for content slides and typed in "slide1" for example and deleted those files. Then I go to the background folders for songs and Bible and do the same thing. When I go looking for the slides again in any of the background folders, they are gone. As Hunter pointed out, there is a lag time, but the process works. We are using tags like "ser" (sermon) or "ann" (announcement) on a going-foward basis and it makes the housekeeping much easier.
Same problem here - on PC. There really needs to be some central way of managing our libraries?
We're having this same problem. TONS of old slides that we need to delete, but no way to delete them simply. Also, when will you allow us to upload custom fonts? Currently, we build all our slides in Photoshop and use them as "backgrounds." Is there a more efficient way? We love Proclaim, but honestly, it is very, very buggy - crashes multiple times per week and some of these "convenience" factors are missing. (another example: changing a font size takes way too many clicks from "content" and when we upload a file, it never remembers from where, so when we're uploading many files, its tedious to show Proclaim the same folder we keep going to.) We feel these are rather simple changes you could make and we'd greatly appreciate it
Yes. It would be great to login to the website or open up a full image database in the program itself and manage content. Need to be able to batch the deleting process. And I'd love to figure out how to tag content after it's been uploaded.
Wanting to re-up this post and plead for a better proclaim library management process. We import a lot of audio into proclaim and have been running our special music from there for a while as part of our schedule of service. We're needing a better way to remove audio, rename audio, group/folder audio, etc.
