Notes in faithlife study bible and finding the features
I have been trying to find out how to post notes to FSB. I thought I had posted a note, but later when I went back to find it, it was gone. I see no help button online, or directions as to how to get to features on the study bible. I was excited to see that we could post information online and access it anywhere, but I can't seem to get this working.
I saw a demo clip of how highlighting feature will work on FSB, but I don't see this feature when I go online.
Help!

Hi Evette,
sorry to hear you have problems with the FSB. Maybe you could tell us a bit more about what you did and what went wrong, maybe attach a screenshot?

Sharing information online works via the faithlife.com website and especially via the groups you find there, e.g. https://faithlife.com/faithlife-beta/activity

I assume you are on the Logos 4 or 5 desktop platform and want to use Community Notes - am I correct? Otherwise (if you're e.g. on a mobile platform such as iPad or on the web in biblia.com this will work but the steps may be slightly different)
Select a text you want to post a note on - say John 3:16. Right click and choose "Add Community Note" - the tab for community notes will open in the righthand area where the Logos tools such as Information or Power Lookup usually do. You'll see a selection field for the group the note will be visible for, such as Faithlife Beta. Choose one (note that the default "My Faithlife" may mean that your notes are visible to all Faithlife users). Fill in the Notes' title and text fields. You'll need to hit "Post" for it to be saved. Now there will be a green Community Note marker at the beginning of the verse you attached the note to.
When you go to your group in faithlife.com, you'll see your note in the group's Community Notes tab. Others can see them as well and reply to your note.
Does this help?

Hi
I think I attached this screen correctly. Thanks for the suggestion, I have never done this before. So as far as I can tell, when I post the note in Logos or on the faithlife studybible site, nothing happens. It is not posting. No green icon comes up saying it has posted. I have hit the post tab. I also am not familiar with with emailing in the forum. So I had to figure out how to find this question and post again. Is there a way I can find this post again in a simpler way than scrolling through all the pages. Thanks, Evette

Several. An easy one would be to filter the posts on the forum home page as per "Your discussions"
Another one would be to go to your profiule page and look after "My activity"
in several months' time, should you become a prolific forum user, you're probaly best off with googling site:community.logos.com with your nick and what you remember from the thread title:

I tried to enlarge something from your post:
Did you copy a very long treatment of Strongs 2142 into your note? it seems the visible part is just the very tops (blue marked scroolbar). Community Notes are limited to 1000 characters or so - if you type or post more, the green "Post" button will turn to grey and the warning message will tell you you're over posting limit. Then it won't post. Try a shorter text.
If this doesn't work, you could contemplate either trying another group or giving me access to your group so we can sort this out.
Hope this helps,
Mick

Hi
That was helpful. I can find the replies easier. I deleted and shortened my note and see it posted. However, I tried to copy and paste a definition from word study dictionary and it would not let me copy and paste it into the window. So I deleted it and typed some words myself. I saw it posted which is good. Now in Logos I see the community note icon, but it is in the word study dictionary resource. I thought it would be attached to the scripture in Psalm 77 that I was studying. What did I do wrong?

Good to hear it's working for you!
The Community Notes tab posts the note to the tab you last were active in. So when you open ESV and read the Psalm, scroll there, the CN tab sees you active in the ESV. I will show the verse in the Psalm where you're at (see in the enlargened part of your screenshot I posted, it says it will put the note to Ps. 77 verse 2. When you now switch to the word studfy resource to select or lookup something there, it will assume that it's there where the note shall be placed.
When I think of it, after typing the note I make sure to select the exact words I want to have the note placed before. But I get tricked by it as well. Then I select the note text, delete the note and create a new one - it's easy once one gets accustomed to it.
