I wish there was a way to insert individual images onto backgrounds like a png or other individual image. Maybe that is already there and I haven't figured it out yet. Thanks for your considerations.

It is. Insert a bible verse or slide show or content text. Then click on the background link about midscreen. It has a file link which offers to let you add via your library or computer.
I have tried that, but all it does is replace the present.background. I would like to add a PNG or a small jpg on top of the background like another layer as you can do in PowerPoint.
I don't think that's possible. I've not seen a worship presentation app that does this.
I'd suggest editing the backgrounds in a photo editor and then save it as a single photo and use that as the background.
Finer-grained control of foreground image placement is coming in a future update. We have no eta on that at this time however.
