How does Faithlife decide which resources to list as additional information?
Sometimes in the Faithlife notes, there is a + sign with a circle around it. If you tap it, you see links to additional resources. These are usually very helpful notes.
Are these links the same for everyone or are they dynamic links that depend on the resources you own? There are many other resources they could have chosen from my Logos Library, so it is not clear to me why they would have chosen the ones they did. Is it based on Prioritization within the Logos desktop program?
If I am going to use Faithlife to teach a group, I want to know which resources they are going to have links to in the study Bible. If Faithlife includes links to resources I have purchased, that is useful for me as an individual studying the Bible. But it is less predictable for leading a group, because one person's notes could differ from another's.

Hi Harry
These links are the same for everyone - if you own the resource you can access them, if not this is indicated by a lock symbol adjacent to the resource.

Interesting. They choose some very nice resources like the Yale Anchor Bible Dictionary, IVP Dictionary of Paul and his Letters, New Dictionary of Biblical Theology. I happen to own these, so the links work. But I am surprised that they do not use more widely held resources, such as those in the Logos base collections.

It's a selling tool. I have the Logos Platinum and many many resources FLB refers to are locked.

Well this is true, but it is safe to say that everything that Logos does is to increase sales (just like every other business).Tim Murray said:It's a selling tool.

While that may be true, it would nice to think the primary motivation of this Study Bible is to enhance one's study of the Bible more than generating sales. It is also inaccurate to say that everything every business does is to increase sales. There are some great business leaders who make many business-related decisions with altruistic motives.

I think the design is that the additional resource links (while indicating that there is more to be bought from Logos) point to really "deeper", "more extensive", "more advanced" material than what has already been incorporated. Thus they end up pointing to the more scholarly/academic resources like Anchor Yale which aren't part of the base packages.
Have joy in the Lord!

Exactly. I've been a Logos user since 2003 and own no base package, but have a lot of the other stuff- IVP, ABD, DDD, etc. FSB works well for me.
