Hi!

Any plans to include the NET bible translation into Faithlife mobile app? It is there in bible.fathlife.com, but not in mobile app.

Regards,
Dmitri.

Hi Dmitri - and welcome to the forums.

i can see it in the faithlife app.

Dear Graham! Thank you for your kind welcome!

It wasn't immediately obvious that I should look for a bible translation under the library section...

It appears I have to buy the NET bible for mobile use, am I right? Why is it then available at the online FSB for free?

Also what are the differences between the Logos and FSB Android apps? Does Logos have any features missing from the FSB or am I safe to just delete Logos and use FSB instead?

And one last question: is it possible to collapse the commentary view (the split screen) of Android FSB, just to read the bible easily on a small screen of my mobile?

    Dmitri.

    Hi Dmitri

    Agreed[:)]

The "Bibles" section shows a subset of your Bibles - and it is not clear to me how that subset is chosen. I don't know why some Bibles appear there and some don't.

The "Library" section has a complete listing of all the resources you own / have access to which are enabled for mobile use.

I would have expected you to be able to see the NET Bible in your FSB app and to access it when online. If you want to download it for offline use that is when you would need to pay for it. As a consequence of licencing arrangements, Logos are able to make some versions available for online use free of charge for not for download. Does this explain what you are seeing or have I missed your point?

Logos actually have four apps available for mobile devices - Bible!, Vyrso, Verbum and Faithlife (there is also a Spanish version).

A discussion of the differences is at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/64981.aspx (and elsewhere). Hope that answers your question. If you have further specific questions please post back

Not to the best of my knowledge - it is a full-screen app. I have seen some requests for split-tablet working (I think relating to Galaxy devices) but haven't seen anything from Logos on this.

    Hope this helps

Nope, I have a list of just 7 titles in the Library view, even when I'm online. Of course the NET bible is not one of them. As for its license, the NET bible is freely available for offline use in the Youversion apps, even with all the commentaries. I'm OK to pay 10$ for, just want to make sure that it's really necessary. It's interesting that the Logos app has 75 resources, but the NET bible is not one of them either. The online version has 80 resources, so it looks like the NET bible is one of those 5 missing resources.

Your post in that thread is very helpful. I wish there was such a comparison chart on the Logos website.

That's sad. It works OK on my Nexus 7 tablet, on on the Xperia mobile phone, the view is really uncomfortable for reading. Guess I'll have to use Youversion for now.

Thanks again, Graham, your replies are very helpful!
