I like using the KJV for reading, but the default Bible is ESV.
It gets annoying trying to change it all the time. How can I make the King James my default Bible?

You can change your preferred Bible in settings - the screenshot below is from iPad, but it is similar on Android - accessible from the Homepage
This will affect which Bible is opened when you link to a reference etc but, assuming you have the KJV open when you leave the app it should come back to the same version when you return.
So I'm not quite sure I understand what you are seeing.
