When is Logos 6 coming out?
I hope that it is this year and I hope that Logos will include ALL of the Classic Commentaries that have come out.

I'm just curious — why would you be asking about Logos 6 when Logos 5 is not really out for that long. Have you heard something substantial, from a reliable source, that points to a new version, or is it just a case of 'the grass is greener on the other side'.

They are continuing to add new features. They're only just preparing Logos 5.1 (it's still in beta) which will have, among many improvements:
Check out some of the other enhancements in the beta release notes: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5_Beta_Release_Notes
I would suspect there will be a 5.1a, 5.1b, etc. and then a 5.2 and so on, long before they change the number to Logos 6.
They've been slowly working on implementing sync v2 which will allow them to add the ability to share personal books among our devices, which we've been wanting for a while. I'm betting that feature will be implemented in the next version after 5.1 (whether that's called 5.1a or 5.2).
A Google search for "logos 6" site:community.logos.com shows that some people have been speculating or wishing for a "Logos 6" already in the past, but really it is immaterial what the next big version is called. It could be that 5.2 will give us enough major new features to keep us happy for quite a while. And if you're not in the beta program, hold on until 5.1 ships and you might also be pleasantly surprised.
I think that most users would sing a common refrain:
Get rid of the bugs first.
I'm guessing that Logos 6 will not be along until about November 2015 – based on the time between Logos 4 (2009) and Logos 5 (2012).
As others have noted, there are still bugs to be ironed out and tweaks and improvements to be made.
Of course, library collections may change, as they have done in the past, and have items both added and subtracted, according to contracts with publishers.
Personally, I give thanks for the general stability, flexibility and usefulness of Logos 5 and its many features.
Thanks to all the teams at Logos! Keep up the good work, guys. Greatly appreciated.
As the 90s song goes: "Things can only get better …"
Every blessing

Logos 5 was the first time I've purchased a Logos product so I was just curious as to Logos' release schedule as some software companies release new versions on a yearly basis. I'm thankful for Logos 5 and I don't even know what the grass on the other side even looks like to desire it.
Logos's philosophy is "release early; release often." They don't want to keep people waiting for a whole year between new releases so they come out with new versions (with minor version number increments) every few months.

Logos don't have a public schedule but do have an aim for each release e.g. 6 weeks of public testing (beta), with another beta release after 1 to 2 weeks. See http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Beta_Release_Notes and http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5_Beta_Release_Notes (5.1 is still in beta).
My requests as layperson for L5.1
1. Please make the search feature to be easier so I don't have to learn the tricks & stuffs. (I didn't know i had to learn it from L4 features because L5 documentation is really poor)
2. sync highlights between PC & biblia/faithlife bible.
3. more powerful printing & copy paste option.
4.ability to flip the book pages "side way" rather than scrolling up and down when reading.
5. better output results in Passage Guide, Sermon Starter, Exegetical & Topic guide.
6. my extra 4000 other books needs to be utilized somehow. So many book I have never open or care. Please make us care with those books (if you know what I mean).
Yeah, those would be great
Thanks for the info Rosie and Dave!
They are continuing to add new features. They're only just preparing Logos 5.1 (it's still in beta) which will have, among many improvements: a new rich text editor a new citation engine "Collections" section in resource info pane which shows you which of your collections that resource is included in ability to edit Series metadata added Image search panel new Reverse Interlinear ribbon which now supports dragging left/right with the mouse
To paraphrase a quote from the Watergate era "There's a cancer growing on Logos."
Here's a few things I would like in Logos 6 or Logos 5.1.
1. The ability to right click on any word on screen and be told what font is being used.
2. Can we have some colours back?
3. What about a coloured scroll bar?
4. The ability to do some editing within the PRINT screen eg spacing, start a new page.
5. The ability to print several articles in the ONE PRINT screen
5 will do for now.
I don't have any wishes for the software. I just want 5.1 to be released or the beta-channel (which I've never subscribed to) release adequate within no later than two weeks from now.
No matter if the dynamic pricing model is kept, if they are not doing substantial changes to base-packages, way more than ever before, I won't be interested in them. I'm not interested in any minimal crossgrades and am soon going to return my Silver upgrade. (I have Bronze and OLL since before, and am thinking of what to do with Verbum - deciding soon).

I don't think that will happen… but you could always download the beta (normal warnings apply). Beta 9 was released recently, and RC1 has been referenced recently.

Wiki has Logos 5.1 release notes => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5.1 so anticipating 5.1 release candidate 1 soon, perhaps in a few days.
Keep Smiling [:)]
Sorry multipost
It's out and for Logos users, it's very expensive to get the cross grade!
This is true. BUT, you have to remember you will only pay for what you do NOT already have. If you have had even Bronze or Silver Logos 5, it might not be as expensive as you see listed. Remember, those are the prices for those who don't have anything (or barely any of those resources). That is why you call Logos and find out what your options are. You just might be surprised.
Since I bought Logos 4 Scholars, later upgraded to Gold, then got Logos 5 Silver AND and the Minimal Cross grade, AND I have been buying other resources, my price won't be as high it looks like. I looked at their compare list and realized I have many of the sources in the cross grades (except for all of the new features and datasets, of course). So, when Logos.com is back up and running (or when I talk to someone from Logos) I will then be able to see what I will ACTUALLY pay. Ed, if you have been adding resources little by little to Logos, your cost could be lower than you are expecting.
