Question about default bible
I installed the FSB when NIV was offered free. Recently my default bible version came up as ESV and I can't seem to cgange it permanently. I switc back to NIV and in a day or so it switches back to ESV. I like ESV but I don't want to pay for it unless I understand that I'm doing so. What's going on?

Is that de fault with your bible? [:D] I frankly have no idea what the problem is, but I suspect it must be a program fault.

Hi Kathy - and welcome to the forums.
Some questions:
- Are you running on iOS or Android?
- what version of the app do you have?
- do you actually own the ESV?

I only got NIV free, and the offer said it was free for life.
When I opened FSB recently, it showed ESV and other translations as $10.00 add-ons. Recently ESV got selected as the default - which surprised me - and now I can't always get it to select NIV when I start the software. Sometimes it comes up NIV and sometimes ESV.
So is the FSB itself only free until March with this offer? If so I'd rather not keep using it.

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm using Android, version 2.4.7.2.

The FSB was initially free for a limited period but was then extended to indefinite.
i really don't understand why you are seeing what you are seeing.
Do the $10 addons appear in your library or in the news section?
The default Bible should only be selected from resources you own, not resources you could own.
Sorry I don't have access to my android device at the moment to check what is showing there

If I click the bible version in the upper left, usually it will pop up a list of bibles. ESV used to be listed as a $10 option underneath Lexham, but recently it's listed first as if I own it. It's possible I selected it accidentally once because that's what I use with YouVersion, but I didn't purchase anything - or at least I didn't confirm any purchases.

Hi Kathy
I think I know what is happening.
The ESV is made available for free with the mobile apps - in that it can be used online but can't be downloaded to your mobile device. The $10 is what you pay if you want to be able to download it. So that's why you have access to it.
The list of Bibles you are accessing in the app are the list of most used Bibles, ordered by frequency of use (or which used most recently) which is why you sometimes see the ESV at the top and don't have the ability to change the position.
So that is all working correctly.
The reason for my earlier confusion is I thought that when you referred to "default bible" you meant "preferred Bible" which has a specific meaning within the Logos apps, referring to the Bible which will be opened when you click on a reference in another resource, etc.
Hope this makes sense!
Graham
