Bug - Slides Missing

Hi,

We have been having this problem for the last month.  The words are disappearing on certain slides.  I have attached the log file.  We have the current updates.  When Proclaim loads, we download the current update.

Please respond as I have several bug reports and we are nervous every Sunday to run the program and need a resolution.

I have the same issue with imported PowerPoint, words are missing but backgrounds are there.

Thanks for posting your logs. Unfortunately I don't see anything helpful in them to diagnose this issue. Are you able to reproduce the missing text consistently? Have you noticed any commonality in the type of slides with missing text? For example, are they always songs? motion backgrounds? Once you experience the bug how do you resolve it? Do you have to restart Proclaim?

I have the same issue with imported PowerPoint, words are missing but backgrounds are there.

This is likely a different issue. The third party tool we use to import PowerPoint presentations has some known issues. Depending on your system (Mac/Win), the fonts used in the presentation, the themes used in the presentation, the type of document (ppt/pptx) - there may be issues importing the text.

We have open cases with the software provider and the tool seems to get a bit better with each release.

I have been having the same issue as well. This tends to happen when I update the background or the font within the lyrics. They will also be there at times and then disappear the next time I go to that slide. This adds a lot of preparation time to my pre-service prep time as I have to ensure that everything is in place before the service starts. Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hate to say a "Me too" but we've been seeing the same thing as well, but no responses since we reported it. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/71781.aspx

Let me be completely honest... the absolute best way to make sure that PowerPoint slides show up as intended by the creator (with fonts and everything) is to save the PowerPoint as images then import as an image slideshow into Proclaim.  This eliminates issues with fonts on different computers and so forth.  This has definitely been the solution for us.  It's just easier not to actually use PowerPoint files.  I have been doing this for years with not only Proclaim (since we bought a license for it) but also with other presentation programs and it's the only reliable way I have found to actually use those files within other programs.  Hope this helps or gives you some ideas.

We published an update today to fix this bug. There should be no more grey/blank slides. [:)]
