SUGGESTION: Bible translations
I was reading an interesting blog entry on Catholic Bible translation preferences: http://ancienthebrewpoetry.typepad.com/ancient_hebrew_poetry/2011/05/why-nrsv-encounters-resistance-among-catholics.html
and found a link to:
Okay, so it's only 3% of us who use the Christian Community Bible but at least we made it on the chart. Please complete our Bible collections with JB & CCB soon. And, of course, Knox and RSVCE would also be appreciated.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

You are correct - as I discovered when I went to check. Somehow it hadn't made it into my collection. So much for those that are kept manually[:$]

Christian Community Bible, Jerusalem BIble 1966, and Knox can not make it to Logos fast enough.
CCB is a jewel, combining a fresh translation similar tot he GNB with notes similar to a Life Application Bible.
Knox and JB have had plenty said elsewhere in the forums, but these are very important translations none the less.

I am Anglican but my in-laws are catholic and of the ones going to Church the NRSV is there Bible of choice, a modified NRSV is the official translation used by Canadian Catholic Churches, I do know my mother-in-law would not consider the NRSV he favourite translation, but then her preferred Bible for years has been the NAB.

Isn't it funny how searches on "I like the 1984 NIV" or "I like the 1984 New International Version" yield very few results on Google (but I actually casually reading spotted one [:-*] more occasion of someone saying they like it, on Christianforums)? Compare that to how many like the Jerusalem Bible: Jerusalem Bible or the 1975 Bible In Order:
