A Pleasant Library Viewing Experience

My wife and I have very different library viewing preferences.

Husband:

Loves Logos and Vyrso Libraries the way they are.  He can power-plow through and find what he wants with ease using collections and filters and sorting and such.

Wife

Hates trying to browse the Library or collection to find a book.  She can NOT easily find what is new, and filters and collections are a mystery she has little interest in exploring. She just wants to see a pretty list of book covers and most of all--find her recently purchased books.

Truth is, her husband also has no idea how to provide for her a simple, attractive, browse-able/printable collection or bibliography of recently purchased Vyrso books.

Who has this figured out?

What are you using to view your library? A computer, tablet, phone?

She should use the Vyrso app… You should use a different one. The Vyrso app can list the most recently purchased resources up top. I'll see if I can post a screen shot later. It isn't ideal, it can use improvement, but this would be my strategy for you now.

EDIT: I assumed you were talking about mobile, but Lynden's line of questioning made me second guess. My answer is about mobile only.

alabama24, you are not the only one second guessing yourself? I think I am tired. This is a Vyrso thread.

When I think of the purpose of this forum, I think about the Vyrso store & Vyrso resources. Questions related to the mobile apps themselves, I think of the iOS & Android forum. It is fairly common, however, to have questions about the mobile apps in this forum as well.

Sorry for that excursion Gao. [:)]

Here are two screen shots… One from the iOS Bible! app, the other from the Vyrso app. The screen shots were taken a couple minutes apart, and show how each app opened. Notice that both are sorted by "recent," and yet aren't giving the same results. To be honest, I don't use the Vyrso app very often, and my understanding of the behavior may be off. What I am seeing, however, is that the book I opened last night (Vices) in the Vyrso app is showing as the first resource. The rest of the resources are books I have purchased recently, in order of my purchases. In the Bible! app, the list shows books I opened yesterday and today. I can scroll and scroll and scroll in the Bible! app, and the newly purchased resources don't appear in the list. In other words, sort by "recent" means something different in the Vyrso app than in the Bible! app.

Actually mobile or desktop, although my wife uses her iPhone mostly (eww) for reading.

I rarely use Vyrso either, but my wife does.  I didn't realize how "recent" worked on mobile devices.  I showed my wife and she is completely satisfied with how the library works on the iPad.

Oh no!  I may have just lost my iPad!

Anyway, you have made my marriage even better!  Thanks.

    Husband:

    I like my wife happy.

    Wife:

I LOVE my wonderful husband who can fix anything.

A bit reluctantly I gave credit where it was due--the folks at Logos forums.  Thank you all again.

I think it would be wonderful to be able to do this on a desktop in Logos library.  That would REALLY make my wife happy!
