Requesting user feedback: Send to Kindle feature
Development is considering implementing a 'Send to Kindle' feature for resources in your Logos library.
Before investing a significant amount of time on this item, we would like to assess user interest based on the fact that this feature would not support sending notes/highlights to or receiving notes/highlights from Kindle devices/apps (which is mentioned in the UserVoice request for this item).
Please let us know if you would still be interested in seeing this feature.

I believe the first post was a bone.

Now, we're just chewin' on it.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
Yes please! I much prefer reading on my kindle to reading on an lcd screen, and this would make my library much more accessible to me. I sometimes buy books that I plan to read cover to cover rather than as a reference on amazon rather than logos because of this preference. Having an export to kindle feature would be more incentive to stick with buying resources from logos. While it would be nice to have notes/highlighting synced across both, that's understandable. I'm still very much interested in this feature without the notes/highlighting carry over.
For many years I have mentioned this, but never any response. So I had allready given up. I now have to copy everything to word and then sent it to my Kindle. I would love to have this feature in Logos, it makes Logos so much better. The books in Logos are not only for study and prep., they are also nice to just read. And reading on a laptop or reading on a Kindle is a big difference. If I could add a request, I would not only like to copy a whole book to Kindle, but I would also appreciate it if I could sent parts of the book to Kindle. When I prepare for a sermon for example, or biblestudy, I Always copy parts of the book (mostly commentaries) to my kindle, and read them as part of my prep. Thank you in advance for taking the time and the resources to create this feature.
Kind regards,

I agree, sometimes I just want to read, and I HATE reading on my laptop for long periods of time. Too much eye strain. My Kindle is perfect for that. That being said, I know that I can do that via export to Word but like you said, it would be nice to be able to do the entire resource.
I would love to hear an update on this. It seems that many of us have Logos books that we would like to read on a Kindle instead of a computer. Even though I can read them on my iPad, I still prefer the e-ink Kindle for simply reading a book.

I don't know, I just had some bad luck, I couldn't say if they break quickly. I just know that when they do break, Amazon is very kind in replacing it. Even when I don't buy a lot of books from Amazon. Here in the Netherlands we are legally alowed to download books for free, as long as it's for our own use, so I don't need to buy much. And I use my kindle a lot for my Logos books, but you cannot put the author to the word document.

My apologies if this has already been posted (I won't take the time to read all 16 pages of this thread to be sure), but here is a perfectly legitimate and supported method for exporting Logos resources to Kindle.

Mark thanks for the post. I've been doing that for a while. For those of you who want your books on Kindle now please please please visit marks site. It does an excellent job of explaining the process step by step.
For those like me who already do this, yes, I will still keep bringing the Send to Kindle option up to save me tons of work and headaches! [Y]
Dear Mark,
Thank you so much for your reply, that is really helpful.
I wonder however, why do you use Calibre for creating a ToC. You can quit easily do that in Word itself. Are you aware of this feature in Word? And if you are, is there any reason why you prefer to use Calibre?
I'd like to hear your input on that.

So far, the guide posted last year by Fr Devin Roza is the best method I've found for exporting my Logos books to Kindle. It's somewhat time-consuming, but the final product is quite good. Footnotes are fully function, as is the ToC.
I would love for Logos to integrate this functionality into the software though. It would make things a lot faster and easier.

And now 17 pages.
I was going to ask if there was a better chance of getting a response from Logos if this was added as a User Voice feature request so we could vote on it. But before asking, I checked to see if such requests were already there. Such requests do already exist, but what caught my attention is that some--e.g. "Make it possible to export books from my library to my kindle e-reader", have a status of DECLINED and you're not allowed the option to vote on them. I assume that means Logos was saying something along the lines of "No--it ain't gonna happen, so voting isn't even an option."
But... since they seem to have opened the door with this "Requesting user feedback: Send to Kindle feature" thread, would it be appropriate/useful to submit another User Voice feature request?

OK, the User Voice feature request has been added. Here's the link: http://logosdotcom.uservoice.com/forums/183408-general/suggestions/4536118-add-the-send-to-kindle-feature-presented-by-tony
Just bought my 2nd Kindle, now kicking on the new Paperwhite! Would love to see this feature!
Any update on this feature? Is it still even being considered?
Has this shown up in the beta as of yet?

I thought I had already downloaded this to one of my kindles and it shows it is available on Amazon but I am unable to get it to work on this kindle that I have on now. It is one of the early kindle fires and I have a newer HD version. But since this program already ran so slowly on my laptop that, I bought a new desktop with much more memory on it to run Logos on. And now it is kicking pretty good on this machine. My laptop only had 4 Gb of memory compared to 24 Gb on this desktop I am currently using. So I would be all for getting this on my kindle if it would open up in less than a minute or so and not slow to a crawl once it was opened and when you were using it. Well there is something to consider while releasing it. To make it enjoyable I am saying.

You've lost me somewhere. [;)]
This thread isn't about the android app and isn't about kindle fires. It is about the regular kindles. If you have a question about the kindle fire, you need to ask and look around in the android forum.

I am interested in being able to send a whole book to Kindle please....and have it retain page numbers, etc and not look like a pdf that is too challenging to read or highlight please.
This isn't about the Kindle fire, it is about the "regular" kindle. Highlighting would be limited to the very limited underlining capabilities of the Kindle.

How do you figure? The same files work with both readers.

The difference is that you can run the Logos Android app on the Kindle Fire but not on the standard Kindle e-readers.
The major theme of this thread is about the interest in having Logos resources made available to the Kindle e-reader platform outside the use of the Logos apps

Agreed ... but there is nothing in the discussion that limits the files only to ink-readers. If I want to read a book, I prefer an e-reader over a LOGOS app. You may prefer an ink-reader, but that is no reason to limit the discussion to ink-readers. If it is, then I have no reason to support it.
Again, the file formats are exactly the same for ink-readers and the Kindle Fire branded e-readers. Why limit the discussion?

Why limit the discussion?
I wasn't trying to "limit the discussion." I couldn't understand what the user's comment had to do with the thread, and believe that he was confused about what was being discussed (i.e. discussion about pdf's, etc.).
