4.0a Beta 3 (v4.01.3.3970) was released this afternoon.
Known Issues
- Cited By will crash if "Sort results by book" option is selected
- Unless you have already changed the Copy Bible Verses global hotkey, it will now default to "None". This is a bug; it will again default to Ctrl+Alt+B in the next release.
Bug Fixes
- Add button in Guides is now keyboard accessible.
- Citation format on the back of clippings now respects the program settings option for citation format.
- Exits drawing mode when the focus is switched to a different application.
- Filtered Resource Picker suggestions are now ordered correctly after clearing the filter.
- Fixed bug in merging indexes (use “reindex now” to rebuild your index)
- Fixed bug preventing single part of speech being selected in morph picker
- Fixed bug that always set focus to Contents Pane when pressing PgUp/PgDn in a resource panel.

Any control with a blue dotted underline where you can pick a resource (e.g., "Entire Library" in Basic Search panel) is a "resource picker".

The image in list view isn't a tab stop, the "View" button is, etc.

Where is this added? I see the DataSheet option in the search results display. But I don't see anything added since B2. Please clarify.

This is pretty cool, though only a few colors may not be enough to satisfy some. I also notice that search panels and other non-resource displays still use the default "White" background. Is that by design? I'm fine with that, just curious. (I do like the subtlety of 'Paper' just right for me).

Search: My Content now shows results from guides.
I don't have much content yet in the guides. Will already built guides need to be rebuilt for this data to show up, restarted, or will it work automatically? Just curious.
I haven't tested all the fixes yet, but have looked at a couple of them. Looks good to me so far!

It's pretty much the same as the LDLS3 "Bible Text Only" view, as far as I can tell.

That's on our list; we've only implemented the setting for resource panels right now.

As a temporary workaround, you could terminate the indexer process. This is not recommended in general, though.

It's definitely in a loop. I sorted the log file and the sync entries are repeating the same resource syncs.

Thank you for the hotkey.
I want the global CBV hotkey to Copy and Paste. Now it's two steps: first press hotkey and then Alt+P.
There could be a selection in the panel menu to toogle between "Copy and Paste" or just "Copy" the selected passage when pressing hotkey.
Well once again, it rearranged all the stuff in my ribbon. Choose preferred Bible is back to the #1 slot.

I'm just now sitting down to play. had a LOOOONNNNGGGG board meeting. I had about 30 minutes after a viewing to check the blog, saw L4 b3 was up, got a bit of practice in and then off to the bored meeting. Now.....its playtime!
Downloaded. Installed. Sync'ed for quite a while (I had to go home so shut down and re-started later - so not sure total time) - No problems

Ran the update and reindexed my library. This corrected the problem that I was having, (though not reported here yet), where my Bible Search in Top Bibles, In the New Testament for "Kingdom of God" was not properly filling in colored search result boxes in the ESV for hits. Many were empty that were accurate hits. After a four hour index, they are displaying correctly. Thanks. [*]

Installed it, no problem. I walked away to let it sync so I have no idea how long it took. I've tried out most of the new features. They work great!

These additions are most welcome. Not to sound ungrateful or greedy because being able to change the background color on the resource panels provides the ability to make reading easy on the eyes and I love it. Is there a plan to allow changing the background color of the other panels and the home page? And if not will you consider it? Please....

Notice also the grey background which is in the Tools Settings page under Resource Panel Background. I noticed that the settings for Paper and Very Light Gray on my monitor do not look different than white (and Windows default which I have set to default color which in win7 is white).
Finally, you can see from the last screen shot above that the black toolbar thing is still broken.

I don't really use Logos for reading devotions. I use MantisBible on my iPhone since it does tracking and does not require Internet access to view. I set one up just to try it out when I was reviewing.

Downloaded and installed with no issue... Quickly checked out the new feature to change the background color of resources... Nice and I'm sure it will please the folks who were looking for something with more warmth for their eyes...

It would be nice if the implementation of the features were quickly explained. For example, where in the world do I find the settings to do this?
And where do I find the Copy Bible Verses Shortcut? Why could the notes not have given the shortcut?
How do I disable the ribbon on the homepage?
Seriously, it would make everyone's job easier (especially yours, Bradley) if you gave a little detail on the features in the Release Notes. That would avoid post after post of "how do I do that?"
