I realize this is primarily a publisher issue, but one problem that makes me hesitate to recommend Faithlife Study Bible to my church (a large % of whom are young adults) is that it will be difficult for them to obtain their Bible of preference, the NIV 1984.  Any other translation they can buy pretty reasonably from Logos.

If you don't already own a license for NIV 1984, it is expensive / difficult to get one.  And many of my congregation aren't interested in changing Bible translations.  Given the widespread popularity of NIV 1984, I would imagine this is an obstacle for FSB to overcome.  That is indeed a shame since it is such a wonderful resource.  I tend to use FSB in my personal devotions now, but I already have a license for NIV 1984.  If I did not, I would not use it much.

I do wish the publisher would reconsider making NIV 1984 more available.  The many who prefer it to the new NIV simply are not going to change any time soon.  And when they do change, for most it will not be to the new NIV.
