BUGS: Font Sliders again... (TOC, various dropdowns)

Have never found time to report this, but I got inspired by Hebrew Font size for BDB Table of Contents and search.
Numerous things in resource tabs don't respond to font slider changes:
- the TOC
- the Reference box, with dropdown
- the Find box
- the Article/Book/etc dropdown
- the Parallel Resources dropdown
- the Visual Filters dropdown
- the book icon dropdown (don't remember what the official name is?)
The urgent ones are the first three, since they may contain Greek or, even worse, Hebrew. Those languages are currently virtually unreadable in those places.
The same goes, of course, for every other dropdown that doesn't respond to the font slider. Especially those that may contain Greek or Hebrew:
- Search
- BWS
- etc
- etc

Thanks fgh.
Yeah I guess I have to consider this a bug. I'm using Logos in my Hebrew class. I went with the Logos DBD instead of the print copy. I thought it would be more handy. However, the lookup/search window is near useless and the tiny TOC is painful.
Every time I can't find something I have to retype - I can't read it to see if I have a typo.

BTW: even the Mac zoom in feature doesn't help because it magnifies the pixels, which all run into each other. It's bigger, but still unreadable.

The font slider in the resource panel is going to affect the font size of the resource only. The areas you are wanting the size to change would be dictated by "Program scaling." A feature not in the Mac version at this point.
Steve, are you also using the Mac version?

I thought so. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but feature that would affect this is not in the Mac version of Logos 5 at this time. If you search for "Mac Program Scaling" you'll see a number of threads on the subject and its history.

Oh that's a bummer.
Can you please bump up the priority, or cast a vote or something. I don't want to change religions (Mac to PC) just to get readable text [;)]

For information on why this hasn't been re-implemented please see this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/30397/466917.aspx#466917. Specifically pay attention to Martin Potter's post.

Using 'Program Scaling" is just one implementation option. However, for a couple of fields it is not necessary.
One could just increase the font size in a field or 2. Might drive the UI artists into a tizzy, but that's life.
I've been a software engineering manager/architect for many years. I understand how we can get locked into 'one right way' thinking. However, sometimes you just have to back up and do plan B.

Notice this example. The English title "Luke 11:1" is actually legible. It's small, but workable.
Now look at the Hebrew word in the search box. Do you see the dagesh in the yod? How about the vowel under the resh? What's that under the mem? The TOC is slightly more legible, but not really readable.
I don't really need to increase the size of EVERYTHING, just a couple of spots.

Some weeks ago I saw someone present from a Mac and he used either a nice utility (either OS built-in or some free tool) that worked like a magnifying glass over a certain area around the mouse pointer.
Would probably help in this case, but less helpful for users who need everything larger - but then KS4Js idea might help.
Have joy in the Lord!

Thanks Mick,
It's built into Mac's ADA support.
I tried that out, but unfortunately it just makes the existing pixels bigger. Which don't have the detail to be of any use, magnified or not. You can see what I mean in the attachment.
Thanks for the idea tho.
Steve
