Well I am in southern Alberta, my Church is in Calgary and I did mention Proclaim to our head Priest and sent him info on it but our more traditional (despite thoughts of very progressive liturgy) would't lead well to Proclaims usage. But all people could make their churches aware of Proclaim, and pastors can always be recommended on the benefits of Logos.

Peace, Greg!         Where are you?            *smile*                 I live in Oshawa, Ontario on the North Shore of Lake Ontario about 25 miles (40 kilometers!) East of Toronto!

I'd love to have Logos more well-known in my beloved country.       Of course I'm pleased that Logos is so very well know internationally also!                                                Right now I am aware of quite a few Canadians who are regular users of and contributors to the Logos Community Forums...

Greg, I will "ponder" your ideas for the future....             *smile*

Welcome to the forums Greg and thanks for asking initiating this post.

I live in Haliburton, Ontario, 2 1/2 hour north of Toronto. I'm amazing at how many people I have spoken with about Logos who have never heard of it.

One idea that I think would be excellent is to host some sort of Logos introduction day or training day in the Toronto area and maybe in other major Canadian cities.

I'm an American, but I live in Vancouver, BC. I seem to recall a couple of other Logosians live in BC, one in Vancouver and one closer to the US border somewhere.

I'm from Edmonton, Alberta.  I have encouraged our teachers and group leaders to use Logos for bible studies and lesson preparation.  Advertise in Bible colleges and seminaries' calendar would help.

Like Bruce, I'm 2.5 hrs north of Toronto (Bracebridge). I like his suggestion: "... to host some sort of Logos introduction day or training day in the Toronto area and maybe in other major Canadian cities." I'd make some invites.

I live in Burnaby, BC (a suburb of Vancouver) and pastor in Vancouver.  I know at least 3 other pastors in my circle who use Logos, as well as another up in Squamish (up the coast a bit), and another who recently left the Vancouver area to pastor a church on Vancouver Island.  So there are probably lots more in this area.  Some of us did Camp Logos I in Bellingham in 2011, and some were at the recent Knox Seminary course in Bellingham.

Heh heh. I guess I've kind of become Canadian in my mannerisms, eh? Very polite, so you'd never mistake me for an American. [:)]

I've been living here for 17 years (came up initially to go to grad school at Regent College and never left), so Canadianisms have had plenty of time to rub off on me. But I still try to resist spelling color as colour and other such tortures of the English language, unless I'm writing to an all Canadian audience.

We (Logos) are going to create a Canadian Forum Page. Just wanted to introduce myself to all my fellow Canadians. My name is Greg Monette and I'm the new Canadian Marketing Rep. I'm here to be an ambassador to Logos on behalf of Canadians and to Canadians on behalf of Logos. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and am excited to partner with all of you! Let's keep the good ideas coming :)

FYI: we will be having a Boxing Week sale this year right after Christmas. More Canadian specific sales are in the works!

    Cheers,

    Greg

I'm also an 'American Logosian' residing in Squamish, BC. Living close to Bellingham (and being a Knox student) has provided me the wonderful privilege of visiting Logos headquarters on a number of occasions. There are truly some great folks working there!

    I live in Haliburton, Ontario

My son "Rob" who was working at "the Forest"--remembers and appreciates your Camp plus his other opportunities to minister with you.

If his Alberta EMS work allows I assume he will be back for your May 2014 "charity golf" day.

When I was a small child my father occasionally taught/preached at the [now burned down] Redstone Lodge just north of your camp.

    All the best.

    Regards, SteveF

That is really interesting to know. Thanks for sharing. If you are ever in the area please stop by for a visit. Maybe you could join us for our charity golf day as well. [;)]

Does that make you a Canadian ambassador to Logos or a Logos ambassador to Canada? :-)

    Hello Greg . . .
. . . Southwest Nova Scotia is my home. I am a semi retired pastor at Port La Tour Baptist Church. I am studying Hebrew through eTeacher Biblical and using Logo Hebrew language material to supplement the course. Very helpful!! Take care and God grant you every blessing. Rory Lennox

I live in Vancouver, BC. There are many Mandarin speaking Christians in the Lower Mainland.  If Logos can be used friendly in Chinese, there will be a lot of users.

    Dear Greg,

I am pastor of a French speaking congregation in Montréal.  I have Logos Gold.  Is the Louis Segond Bible available for use on my program?  Any other French tools?  Price?  I think they were doing a prepub offer at the recent SOLA conference...  Thanks, René Frey

  • Hello, Greg.  I live in Sudbury, Ontario (northern Ontario).  We have a son and daughter-in-law and 4 grandchildren in Halifax, NS.  Maybe one day we will meet up when we are visiting in Halifax..  Logos 3, 4 and 5 have been a blessing in studying God's Word.  Roger.

Hey, Kyle Trevor here. I went to Vanguard College in Edmonton, AB for my Bachelor of Arts in Theology. I serve in Bruderheim 45 mins outside of Edmonton.  I love the product and have used it for the past 5 years. I would have to agree with those that would like to provide people with a picture of what this software can do in their lives. We have breakforth and other conferences that are here which may be a gateway to having a speaker talk through the application of logos in church leadership roles to create awareness for the program. I endorse logos as much as i can but the price points usually stop me in my tracks. It might be nice for people who are already spending money going to our conferences to get a hands on approach to this type of bible study material. If this is at all on option for our area that would be great, I know there are people seeing a better bible study. I also know personally that Logos can be the answer for their search.

Same here--only ones who have ever even listened were pastors who were also knowledgeble about professional class tools & were willing to then "shell out" at professional level prices. -- not even sure I would have if it hadn't been for the "loss-leader" Nelson eBible type of multi-volume cheaper "intro" CDs that used to be available going back 15 (almost?) 20 years ago.
