BUG: Missing ESV interlinear

I usually have the interlinear panel open at the bottom of the ESV.

When I opened the layout today, the panel was blank.

I thought that a panel refresh might help so I clicked on the button to hide the interlinear, and then click again to view it. Now I do not even see the grey bar of the interlinear.

As you can see from the screen shot below, then interlinear button is 'pressed in' ... and no inter linear. This happened directly with the latest 5.2 update (I am on Beta channel).

AFAIK, there is no indexing happening ... (nothing in the icon bar nor the yellow status bar in the app itself)

Hmm... I see my resource seems to be September, and Graham's seems to be later than that (October).

I will try Update Now ... but I do not know why it has not updated before now ... if indeed that is the issue ... esp. since part of the Beta saw the ESV having an update for the 'smart selection' (not that I used it).

I did get the updated version associated with Smart Selection.

Might be worth trying "Update Resources" - will take longer but does more comprehensive checks.

Hmmm....

I removed the ESV resource files, removed a couple of the dbs and forced L5 to download the ESV again.

It did ...

I am still in September!

Still no Reverse Interlinear [|-)]

I have just noticed a 'thing'

Two screen dumps:

RI button out:

RI Button In:

It is difficult to see, but there is a white line below the last line of text (with the button out, the text actually touches the border).

As I click on the button, I can actually see this line appear (in) and disappear (out) as if it were trying to draw, but behind the panel below it. This is the case in both windowed and full screen mode.

SORTED: Another Layout Issue. Switching layouts restores the RI. [:D]

smart select is the feature which makes select text work as it does in MSWord - it tries to help you select the whole word, phrase, sentence etc. If you miss a bit manually, it corrects it.

The interlinear problem sounds like the same issue reported here (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/76559.aspx), which is fixed in 5.2 SR-1. If you've already upgraded to SR-1 and are still having this problem, please let us know.

I am using this ...

During all of the update nows that I tried, none of them picked up that SR-1 was released. Even as I write this, Update Now did not notice that SR-1 exists., Neither did it pick up the the existance of the later ESV version.

It is a little difficult to report bugs if you do not have the latest resource files and versions ... is there something that would be out of sync in my local db files that might cause this?

BTW. When will we see the return of selectable version text in the about Logos box? Doing screen dumps instead of copy/paste seems unnescesary.

I think SR-1 may only available on the "stable" channel currently.

I'll ask for it to be pushed to the "beta" channel, but you can get the fix now by running "set update channel to stable".
