Proclaim Software crashes on startup with latest update on Windows Vista

Updated the software this morning and came up with this error on startup. Software will not start. Is there a previous version available until the latest update is fixed?

I am sorry to here about your frustrations. If you can reproduce your issue, please do so and then send me your log files from Proclaim; they should be located at %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Proclaim Log Files\. Once I have these I will be able to pinpoint your issue and work on a solution.

I seem to be having the same problem on my mac.

After yesterday's update the program just hangs once it gets passed the usual SYNC screen at startup.

I have tried to delete and reinstall the application but this hasn't helped.

Any answers?

Hey there Mark,

I have not encountered any crashes on startup in house. If you could attach the Proclaim logs to your next post I will most likely be able to pinpoint the problem; they should be located in the following area:

/Users/[username]/(~Library)/Application Support/Proclaim/Logging/
The Library folder might be hidden. If so, hit CMD+Shift+G and enter "~/library" into the box.

Hi All,

We promptly heard back from the support team and there was a corrupt file on our system. You need to unhide "hidden" files on Windows for this to work, but once you do so, look for "TouchPointsManager.db" file in your system and delete it. Then restart the program.

For reference, on our system it was located here: C:\Users\SoundRoom\AppData\Local\Proclaim\Data\zt52ublr.cpb\TouchPointsManager\TouchPointsManager.db

Once we deleted it, it worked perfectly.

Hey there Megan,

Do you mind attaching your Proclaim logs to a post? all log files should be available in the folder I specified earlier (Should be Proclaim.log, ProclaimError.log, etc.).

Okay so it looks like you are having some troubles with the installer failing for various reasons. There are a few ways that you can approach the problem now. The first one would be to call customer service at 800-875-6467 and they would be able to fix it for you. If you want to attempt to fix it yourself, you will need to uninstall Proclaim, clear the cache of the internet browser you are using, and then try to reinstall Proclaim via proclaimonline.com.
