One more resource available on PC than Mac

Is it normal to have one more resource available in the PC version of Logos than the Mac version? My PC version shows 5,944 resources while my Mac version shows 5,943.
*EDIT* - Currently running the command "Update Resources" on my mac.
*FOLLOW-UP EDIT* - The "Update Resources" command did not find any additional resources.

Have you created a personal book on the PC? Currently they don't sync between installations.

Check edition:logos and edition:user.

I do not think that I have made any personal books. Tools > Personal Books is empty.
edition:logos lists 10 resources on both PC and Mac.
edition:user lists 0 resources.

Don't you think that is a little short of the mark? Did you have Library view set to Entire Library? Are you on Verbum?

Try putting your PC Resources folder on a removable drive and use the scan command on the Mac to see if it picks up the extra resource (restart Logos after issuing the command) e.g.
Scan {Resource Path}
where{Resource Path}
is the path to resources on the removable drive.Dave

I do not have Verbum.

If you have the time... You might try running the command "rebuild Index".
It takes slow computers a day or so, and fast computers a few hours.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

it takes a day to rebuild index of 10 resources? Logos dropped to the new low! [:P]

Typing the command in the command box brought up the search box anyways. But typing the command in the search box yields the same 10 resources.
The 10 resources listed have nothing to do with rebuilding the index, but are produced using the command suggested.
My entire library is showing fine except for my Mac shows 1 less than my PC, otherwise everything shows fine. It is currently not interfering with function, but I was wondering if this was normal and if there was a simple way to see what the missing resource is.Logos 10 | Faithlife Connect Essentials

Regarding the edition:Logos, it seems, you filtered the library for type:encyclopedia or such.
Anyway, this should not be normal. A simple way to decect the missing source would be to apply a tag such as "comptest" to all resources on the machine with the smaller library (or a rating if you do not have reted resurces), have it sync over and then select at the other machine * ANDNOT mytag:comptest which will probably yield excactly the resource(s) you have more on the larger library .

Great idea with the tagging. However, no results are shown. Strange.

Not sure what you mean here, please expand.
What do you mean when you say "no results are shown"?
Another option to try and work out which is the different resource is to create a Bibliography report for your entire library on each machine,
export to a word processor file and then compare the two using the Word Processor functionality. This does assume that the format created on each type of platform is the same.

I mean that when I type the command "andnot mytag:comptest" on the PC (after the sync on first Mac then PC) it shows 0 resources.

sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
- This is not a command but a library filter. See wiki.logos.com/Library for more info on filters, with examples and pictures, they are very helpful!
- The filter says: give me all library resources except those tagged with comptest
- You need to include the star * (wildcart for 'all' or 'everything')
- You need to capitalize the ANDNOT
Hope this helps better.

Alright, I found the resource using the the export/compare approach (even though the compare for some reason found a lot of changes, I was able to find the one).
The * ANDNOT mytag:comptest is working now. I had used the * and typed ANDNOT in capitals in the Library search when I tested it before but it didn't remove anything. Perhaps I had a typo. But it brings up the same resource now.The resource is The Thousand and One Churched by Ramsay, William Mitchell; Bell Gertrude L.

Hm. And when you click here on the Mac, does it show a preview/go to Logos to buy page?

Maybe Dave is still watching the thread and has an idea, or another veteran user. A call to Logos tech support might help, too (probably a second level issue).

This is the sort of issue I would expect "update resources" to fix but I note that in the original post this was tried.
Could be worth ensuring diagnostic logging is enabled on the mac, trying the command again and uploading logs

Please try to restart the Mac (not Logos) and see if Logos update starts.

Also try using the scan command as I suggested earlier, but on a folder containing the single missing resource (first ensure logging is enabled).

Hello DivineCordial
I've preformed an action that should have updated your license file on the Mac. Can you restart the program and check for updates again? If none are found please call us at your earliest convenience. We'll more easily be able to troubleshoot the problem with you.
