Indexing stuck at 0%
I get a message at the top of my Logos page that says "Your library is indexing. Search results from some resources may not be available. Indexing may slow down your computer. (Pause indexing for 4 hours)"
This has been happening since last Saturday, February 8, I believe. I know it was happening Sunday. During this whole time the indexing message continues to appear everytime I load Logos. Last night I left Logos running all night long.
When I click on the X to close the message banner at the top of my Logos I get an exclamation point. Hovering over that, it says, "Your library is indexing. (0% complete)"
So it's stuck and not progressing.
Thanks,
Mike

Actually, nevermind. I noticed another post on the topic right as I hit "send." After checking that one I did the "rebuild index" command, and I can now tell it is progressing. Thanks.
Well even a self-diagnosed victory is a victory. :-)
[^o)] Did you have another computer open listing the posts? Because I'm typing now and I'm about to hit "send" and I don't see any other posts being listed. I guess you meant "after" you hit send you saw another post on the topic and not "right as you hit send you saw another post on the topic." (get it?). Unless you were looking at other posts on your phone or some other device there's no way you can see other posts "right as you are hitting send" on your own post. [:^)] I know English is my second language, but somehow that didn't sound right or made sense; unless, of course, it's an idiom or some weird English expression in your sentence.
Anyway, the old indexing problem! I'm glad mine is over for now, but I'd sure hate to have to rebuild my index again. That's a LONG process for me. I'm even thinking of having Logos lock my Perseus Collection because it's just too much "junk" cluttering my searches and hard drive. Well...not junk necessarily but a lot of useless resources that I'd be surprised if someone told me they use that collection for their sermon prep every week [:D]. Most of us just have it sitting there in our computers taking up precious space and honestly, I've tried hiding some resources, but that's a tedious process too. Logos should have a "Hide Perseus Collection" command or any other collection or series that you don't really use. I think it'd be much easier than the current "Hide Resource" tool they have right now.

Hello Mike,
Can you please log the behavior? Below are links with instructions.
Windows: www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/logging
Mac: www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/logging
I just started the process to try and generate the logs this morning. I may have to set my laptop up at work to allow it to continue. However, when I first started this thread I did put my logs out there originally. At that point the indexing was stopping at 0%. Doing a "rebuild index" helped to get me up to about 58% before it gets stuck. But there may be some hints as to the issue in the original logs. I'll repost when I get a log that is in effect when it stops at 58%. Thanks for your help.
