Logos Deluxe Map Set

I like the deluxe map set, and it's wonderful how there are pop-ups when you move your mouse over things. For example, in Paul's Letter to the Corinthian Church, it shows numbers and travel destinations. However, my question is: Is there any way to print the pop-up notes along with the map? I only can print the map so far. Otherwise, I may have to just copy and paste from the Information window?

While we're waiting and for anyone who made the mistake of upgrading to L4/L5 and therefore loosing the eminently usable Logos Bible maps ... it's their 20th anniversary this year!! Many have wondered since 2009 ... just where IS Oboda (or its alternative name Avdat of course).

Hi Cody, when you float over something the pop-up information automatically also pops up in the information window, much like how you float over words in the Bible and it will also automatically display in the information window....

This is an arid section of the country, with infrequent and limited rainfall. With limited water resources, there was restricted opportunity for agriculture, although in the northern area some grain farming was done on a small scale, with possibly one crop failure every three years. Peace, Denise! I have Logos Deluxe maps and have had them for many a year! Your post gave me opportunity to open up my Libronix - (Logos 3.0g) and to study Oboda (Avdat) there for about 20 minutes -- which I enjoyed immensely -- It still works for me on my Windows Desktop with Windows 8.1, but 99.99% of my Biblical Studies are with Logos 5 which is improving hand over fist as the betas go by......

But, I must conclude (I realise that there are a lot of personal elements involved) !!!! ....... Logos 3.0g does not hold a candle to Logos 5 .... and, frankly, I fail to see the point of your post. Are you desirous of being helpful? Or making a point that somehow I'm missing?

I guess I was just annoyed about your "slamming" Logos 5 again! I truly appreciated Libronix; however, that's in the past. I loved it! But, I've had to move on! Logos is -- I believe! -- doing the very best they can .. there ARE negatives, of course! and there ARE INDEED positives! *smile*

Milford .... I'll admit I'm a bit mystified! First, I don't really know why people get so upset if there's any hint Logos5 doesn't have everything. Today a user sort of 'lost it', but the experienced ones lit into him as if he'd crossed into no-no land where well-read forum-angels fear to tread. Everyone calmed down as soon as the user sheepishly admitted he'd not spent the $1,500 as the cost of admission.

So why does a piece of software get folks so emotional? We drive a 2001 Eurovan and make nasty comments about the 2003 Eurovan; no one takes it seriously. I sew with a 1991 Pfaff and told our friends that the sewing machine his wife is burdened with badly needs upgrading (to her favorite of course). He laughed.

But Logos owners are dead serious. Why is that?

Now the software I was talking about isn't in Libronix (no offense); it's 1994, which surprisingly still delivers very interesting information. It was produced by (for?) Logos and has really lasted. I'd think that'd be a complement? I'm quite fascinated with whoever wrote it.

But you were not 'snarky'. First, snarky is not allowed across our northern border (strickly Americans only). And second, even if you crossed the border and got some of our snarky, no one would believe it! Canadians are just so nice!

Is this in your constitution? It is not scriptural and is not in my marriage license. I first realized how important this issue is when students told me to "be nice" after I gave an assignment that they did not like. But the college catalog said nothing about nice faculty, the student or faculty handbooks said nothing about being nice. I did not change the assignment.

The climax came two weeks later when I was reading a text for my third masters degree - in Community Counseling. The textbook said, "Nice people tend to be mentally ill." Since then, since being nice goes so against my personality, I decided that I was no longer going to try to be nicer. I might be nice occasionally, but certainly not on purpose [:)].

A few years later a pastor's wife thought she had me trapped - after all, scripture does tell us to be kind. I quickly remind her that being kind is what God wants, being nice is what she wanted. Sometimes they are the same thing - but often are not. My mom often told me to be nice - but she was not always right either.

Again, I ask the question - why are Canadians nice?

Please take this with the humor it is intended. There is some truth in all this (even my wife understands this), but I do not mean to be cruel.

The American border starts just a wee bit more than 20 miles South of Oshawa -- not very far from where you live in the Rochester area, Floyd! We used to have Ferry Service between Toronto and Rochester, but -- unfortunately! -- that petered out a few years ago because of costs ... so I guess we'll have to meet on the bridge in Niagara Falls ...... It's always been a famous bridge, but even more famous now since the Sochi Olympics - The Rainbow Bridge! It once was a great name, eh?

I know you know this, but mention it for the others on the forums .... Rochester and Oshawa should be friends ... along with the cowboy and the farmer ... Wouldn't that be nice???

P.S. That white line is the Canadian/United States border. Did God draw that line? *smile* Peace to all!
