This is an arid section of the country, with infrequent and limited rainfall. Peace, Denise!                    I have Logos Deluxe maps and have had them for many a year!                Your post gave me opportunity to open up my Libronix - (Logos 3.0g)       and to study Oboda (Avdat) there for about 20 minutes -- which I enjoyed immensely  -- It still works for me on my Windows Desktop with Windows 8.1, but 99.99% of my Biblical Studies are with Logos 5 which is improving hand over fist as the betas go by......                

                But, I must conclude (I realise that there are a lot of personal elements involved)            !!!!  .......         Logos 3.0g does not hold a candle to Logos 5   ....     and, frankly, I fail to see the point of your post.      Are you desirous of being helpful?    Or making a point that somehow I'm missing?

             This is Cody's first post, and what must he think of us?               Kindest personal greetings to you, Denise!  I'm trying to understand your post!  Earlier this afternoon I praised one of your posts to high heaven when you spotted Ramsay with important points to be made over against Moffatt and shared that info with the forums; and I still commend you for that.

While we're waiting and for anyone who made the mistake of upgrading to L4/L5 and therefore loosing the eminently usable Logos Bible maps ... it's their 20th anniversary this year!!  Many have wondered since 2009 ... just where IS Oboda (or its alternative name Avdat of course).

Edit!         Denise, I just read my post and it seems that I've come across very "snarky"!             I really didn't mean to be that "snarky" and I apologise for that!               I guess I was just annoyed about your "slamming" Logos 5 again!           I truly appreciated Libronix; however, that's in the past.  I loved it!     But, I've had to move on!              Logos is -- I believe! -- doing the very best they can  ..  there ARE negatives, of course!     and there ARE INDEED positives!           *smile*

Milford .... I'll admit I'm a bit mystified!  First, I don't really know why people get so upset if there's any hint Logos5 doesn't have everything.  Today a user sort of 'lost it', but the experienced ones lit into him as if he'd crossed into no-no land where well-read forum-angels fear to tread.  Everyone calmed down as soon as the user sheepishly admitted he'd not spent the $1,500 as the cost of admission.

So why does a piece of software get folks so emotional? We drive a 2001 Eurovan and make nasty comments about the 2003 Eurovan; no one takes it seriously. I sew with a 1991 Pfaff and told our friends that the sewing machine his wife is burdened with badly needs upgrading (to her favorite of course).  He laughed. 

But Logos owners are dead serious.  Why is that?

Now the software I was talking about isn't in Libronix (no offense); it's 1994, which surprisingly still delivers very interesting information. It was produced by (for?) Logos and has really lasted.  I'd think that'd be a complement? I'm quite fascinated with whoever wrote it.

But you were not 'snarky'.  First, snarky is not allowed across our northern border (strickly Americans only). And second, even if you crossed the border and got some of our snarky, no one would believe it! Canadians are just so nice!

                   The American border starts just a wee bit more than 20 miles South of Oshawa       --    not very far from where you live in the Rochester area, Floyd!     We used to have Ferry Service between Toronto and Rochester, but -- unfortunately! -- that petered out a few years ago because of costs ...                   so I guess we'll have to meet on the bridge in Niagara Falls   ......          It's always been a famous bridge, but even more famous now since the Sochi Olympics - The Rainbow Bridge!          It once was a great name, eh?

I know you know this, but mention it for the others on the forums .... Rochester and Oshawa should be friends   ...   along with the cowboy and the farmer ...                                          Wouldn't that be nice???
