POWERPOINT content disappearing

Using Office 365. Creating my slides like usual. But the text content on only 2 slides disappears when I upload it into Proclaim. Uploading as images, and syncing to the group. All other text is fine.

I went back and selected the text, then brought the text box forward just in case. No change. Nothing odd about the formatting - just a text box.

Help?

Do you have any text animations or effects applied to that text box in PowerPoint? If so, Proclaim cannot interpret text animations or other effects.

You're uploading them as images to Proclaim? Do those text boxes appear in the raw .jpeg images before importing into Proclaim?

No effects other than italics or bolding . In fact, there is a "header" text box with the identical fonts and effects. I opted finally to rebuild the slides from scratch and they finally worked. But a very strange quirk.

I am experiencing the same problem. Also Office 365 and latest version of proclaim. Please fix this. It always worked before the program upgrade. Did not need to discover this on a Saturday afternoon.

Are you saying you're using Office 365's PowerPoint to create the slides? Then import as images into Proclaim? We haven't changed the version of the third party software we use automatically image as images... Is it possible you're using a different theme or font in PowerPoint?

The third party software we use to import PPT presentations is not perfect. There are variety of known issues when using particular fonts and themes. The most reliable thing to do is to use PowerPoint to export the presentation as images, then import the images into Proclaim using an image slideshow service item.

I have now tested this with a powerpoint created from scratch using a standard microsoft template--no animations or special features and no changes to the formatting. Same result. NO TEXT. I find it incredibly frustrating when an alleged update (which seems to have served little purpose other than a more up to date "look") ends up reducing functionality. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. (Of course, now it is broken and very much in need of repair)

I have now attempted to import several unedited powerpoint presentations that worked before the update with the exact same result. NO TEXT. Something has indeed changed.

Yes, that is what I'm saying. I am using office 365's powerpoint to create slides and then importing them as images into proclaim. The text disappears and when I attempt to go live, I receive a little little orange triangle with an exclamation point in it followed by the words, "an error occurred while attempting to display PowerPoint in Proclaim." Ironically, when I import an old presentation that has been used several times before, the "signal" indicating that the slide includes a Bible reference remains, but the text is no longer visible.

Also interesting that when I use a powerpoint that was created the same way by the same program and uploaded previous to the upgrade, the text shows up. There is a bug in the upload process somewhere.

Ah, I think I misunderstood your post. I thought you were importing as images but it sounds like you're using the "Transfer control to PowerPoint" option.

The latest version updates the NET framework version Proclaim depends on which could potentially have caused an issue here. We can dig into this more on Monday but in the meantime you could fall back to using the old version. It can be installed here - http://www.proclaimonline.com/clickonce/proclaim.application

Both versions can be installed side by side. Thanks for your patience, we'll work on resolving this issue ASAP.

Actually tried it both ways, "Convert to Images" and "Transfer Control..."; it didn't make a difference. Also tried "local to this computer only" which I don't generally do in case something should happen to my laptop and we needed to use another person's computer to run the presentation; this also did not matter. In every case I obtained the same result. The only PowerPoints that have worked today were those that were uploaded as images prior to the upgrade. When inserted into the Proclaim Presentation, these worked as they did before. Also, in answer to your question to the post above (other user), when I convert this PowerPoint to .jpeg images on my own computer and then use them for backgrounds on "Content" slides in Proclaim, the text does appear as part of the image. Thanks for your help on a Saturday. Unfortunately, pastors do not get to put these things off until Monday, as nice as that might be.
