BUG: Books I have not ordered are in my Vyrso app library, but not in my Logos 4 PC desktop library

Several books are in my Vyrso library list, including Alive to Wonder (Piper), Still Not Professionals... (Akin, Anyabwile, ...), The Meeting Place (Oke/Bunn) and others, but I did not order them, they are not in my list of orders, when I look them up on Vyrso.com, there do not indicate I already own them and they are not listed in my Logos 4 PC desktop library or hidden resources (4.6c SR-6 (4.63.0.0400)). I am able to open and read them in Vyrso.
I am using Vyrso 4.0.6.2278 on iPad.
- How did they get there?
- What can I do to remove them from my Vyrso Library?
Thank you for your help.

Hi Carol - and welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear you are having problems.
I don't understand why you are seeing what you are seeing.
A few things to try:
- Are all the extra books you are seeing free on Vyrso, com?
- Are the books there if you go into airplane mode on the iPad? (Trying to understand if they have been downloaded or if they are being accessed in the cloud)
- Are you able to install one of the other mobile apps - such as the Bible app - https://www.logos.com/ipad - and see if these extra resources appear there as well (logon using the same credentials)

Hi Graham,
- Yes, the extra books are free on Vyrso.com
- No books are listed in my Vyrso library when I am in airplane mode (nothing has been downloaded)
- I installed the Bible app and the extra books did not show up there.
Thank you for your help.

I was unaware of this change, but the Vyrso app is apparently following the Logos Bible! App in providing some free resources with the app. These are resources which you DONT own, and can't download unless you purchase. There is nothing you can do to change this, but you can filter your library in various ways including local:

Hi Alabama24,
I've read something like that in the forums before, but my husband has the Vyrso, Bible and Faithlife apps on his Samsung/Android tablet and does not have this problem.
This problem happened before (last summer or fall) and we removed the app, and then reinstalled it, and the extra books were gone. Then, a month or two ago, extra books I did not buy started showing up again. I haven't reinstalled yet, hoping Logos can look at my account to see, or at least explain what's going on.

Like Alabama I wasn't aware of this but I think he is right. I've just checked Vyrso on my Android phone and see free books there (The Meeting Place) which I haven't purchased. So I don't know why your husband doesn't see it on his tablet.

Someone from Logos may comment here, or you could contact Customer Services, but I think this is "expected behaviour"

Hi Carol,
I apologize for the problems you are experiencing. Every month we update the list of free titles available to users of the Vyrso app. This is why you'll see titles such as Alive to Wonder, Still Not Professionals, The Meeting Place, and others added to your library. For our new users, having numerous titles available to test the app is very helpful in developing an appreciation for the features we make available. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a process in place that allows you to remove these ebooks from your library, I apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Thank you for the explanation.
Do these extra books go away by themselves when the monthly list is updated or do they continue to accumulate in the user's library?
It would be nice if there was an option switch (default on) that allowed these freebies to flow through to the app for new users, but users could turn it off if they don't want the extras.

Is this a hint to a future capability? Please?
FYI, I rechecked my Vyrso library on my Samsung/Android tablet and did find The Meeting Place there (which I did not order). Apparently I missed it amid my other books when I checked earlier.
Thank you
