Remote Control Proclaim WITHOUT Internet

I have been reluctant to accept the fact of "No Internet, no remote control" so I reached back to my trusty software program used years ago in the simulation world. The program is Real VNC [www.realvnc.com] and this program allows remote control of any platform Mac or PC from just about anything else. Real VNC can be configured to run over the wireless network only and be password protected for complete safety.

You can log into the Proclaim software on an internet connection and then disconnect the internet. Start Real VNC Server on the main computer and Real VNC Viewer on the remote device. Once connected you have complete control of the desktop. No more worries about outside influences as Real VNC has been years battle tested.

Mark, how does this help with the slide rendering issues though? The issue I had been having with Proclaim was that the content that was created for slides wasn't even able to be downloaded, let alone controlled via remote.

Once the content is downloaded (after peak hours) to your Server PC or Mac then I am told it will reside there until you log out of Proclaim. So don't log out.

Using VNC is a clever solution. I wanted to point out another option which is to use a universal presentation remote. See my reply about this on the following thread.
