I was just wondering if there was information on the release of an SDA Base Package.

I already have the SDA Bible commentary but I noticed for all new users it does not come in the base Package.

We were unable to include the SDA Bible Commentary in the new base packages. It is in the old Libronix format, usable but not optimal. We are hoping to get it updated. At that point all of you who own it will get the updated version free.

What about EGWhite's writings?

If they give the commentary free, I hope they do the same for Ellen White's writings. With the Encyclopedia of Ellen White coming out, they have a better incentive to update her writings. Martin has indicated this.

Yes, anyone who already owns the EGW writings will get a free update when (as we are working toward) we can get them recompiled into the latest Logos technology.

To clarify (as I posted on another thread): Whatever is already owned would be updated free; if the EGW library includes additional resources (yet to be determined), there may be some cost in that part. But what you already own would be updated without cost.

Base packages have taken all my energies since we talked, but now that I've done all I can to get them launched, I can give attention to this again. As we've discussed, this is vital to get taken care of. Technicalities have delayed this for months, but I'm determined to see it through!

Thank you for your kindness, David. It's been quite a stretch. I haven't taken a day off in the 11 months I've been here--even taking the last bus home on Christmas and New Years' Eve. You guys are all busy too. Let's keep praying for each other!
