Update on SDA base packages release
Logos is doing everything possible to get the SDA base packages downloadable. There have been challenges with producing several of the resources (which are just to be expected), and now it's down to getting Questions on Doctrine finished. We are not able to ship until that's ready, and I just got confirmation that our Product Development department is doing all they can to have it prepared as soon as possible.
No exact projection yet--I'll keep you updated. Thanks for your understanding!
Martin Weber / Logos SDA product manager.

It's a pleasure to serve you guys. The complexity of these base packages is incredible. It is the most technologically complex SDA product ever released. Dozens of experts are working on it for us, and we are almost there.

Yep cant wait for this to come out!!

Thanks, Josh. Everybody at Logos is pushing very hard with me to get this off to you. I hope it will be worth its wait in gold (or Silver/Bronze/Starter). I hope to have a Logos SDA Gold late this year.

How much will we 'lose' if we buy Silver now and then Gold. Standard price for all Silver packages is about $1000 with out any discounts. Standard price for Gold is about $1550. What % will we get back towards Gold? [100% would make Gold cost $550 if all we owned was the related Silver - what is the Dynamic Pricing % for resources owned?]

that's a question that i would like to have an answer
But keep the good work Martin

I don't think you'll lose much with the benefits of dynamic pricing, but I can't give an exact answer since Gold won't happen for a while yet (months). Meanwhile, I think you'll be missing out on what I believe is the finest package of SDA materials in the history of the church, all exquisitely searchable as we all love in Logos. So my counsel is to buy now. That's what I did.

Will the 12 vol Seventh-day Adventist bible commentary be part of any the packages? I already own it. I just know how much I enjoy it my self.

No. The Sda Bible Commentary will not be in any of the Base packages, as it is in the old Libronix Format.

But it works in Logos 5 if you update the license. I have the 8 volume commentary and the bible atlas along with lots of other documents.

I have an old version, but when I got Logos 5, I got even the SDA handbook (vol.12) together with the other volume

Interesting that the controversial "Questions on Doctrine" book is the one delaying the packages... [8-|]
I am anxious for the package, but I am sure it will be worth the wait... Thank you for all your work on this Martin.

How come the SDA package is withheld over one resource when the Anglican and Lutheran packages shipped early with multiple resources delayed?

Matt, never heard of the Great Disappointment? I think it is pretty obvious they've learned the lesson and aren't setting a "ship date" prematurely. [:)]

Yeah. You would think so but they sold me Anglican Diamond and Lutheran Gold without releasing all the resources yet. A whole bunch of resources are shipping this week.

Well, since the Great Disappointment was a proto-Adventist concern, the Anglicans and Lutherans would be less likely to feel the same "pinch" with regard to premature "ship dates".

Yes, SDA base packages won't be shipped until everything is ready. They are working hard on it and it is scheduled to ship late this month. Thanks everybody for hanging in there with me.

Things are looking great for a release of the SDA base packages at the end of May. Everybody is working quite hard on this.

Are you sure you will make it to Prayer meeting, or will you be too busy trying out the new toy? Ahem I mean tool. [:)]

May 27 is a Tuesday. Prayer meeting is Wednesday. As I am the unofficial head of our current Prayer Team I had better make it to the meeting,
[[All the official heads are out giving Bible Studies as preparation for our fall evangelistic meeting - those that are left behind will be praying for the studies]]

Josh,
please don't forget that Logos is working on Pacific time (you posted around 7 AM for them) and shipping sometimes occurs rather towards the evening or "staged" in batches.
Have joy in the Lord!
