Why did I only discover this by accident? Did I miss a big announcement?
I think you just made the big announcement yourself! This product just rolled live a few minutes ago.
Oh my goodness, that's a good deal for me! With Dynamic Pricing it's only $62.98. And it includes the Ancient Faith Biblical & Theological Studies Bundle (32 vols.) ($299.95) which was on my wishlist anyway, and The Greek Orthodox Church ($12.95) and surely other items that will be new to me. I'm going to take the plunge and dive in!
Thanks for pointing this out! It doesn't even show up in the New Products list yet.

I must have discovered it only seconds later, then. I happened to be viewing something - I forget what - which is included in the builder. Then I frantically searched the forums and Logos blog to see what was up. In any case, you already have one satisfied customer up above!
Why did I only discover this by accident?
I want you on my resource team. This is good news!

This is good news!
Great news, even!
There are more East-facing surprises on the way. Today, even?!

We have a lot more exciting Orthodox offerings on the way, as well.
It seems to be missing from the website. It says it doesn't exist. I ordered mine Friday.
it is no longer for sale

I guess it is sloppy website management.

I can see it, but when I click on it, it says that it doesn't exist.
I guess they pulled it and forgot that one link. I wonder why it got pulled..........
Hey everyone, thanks for the heads up on this. I got back from lunch and found the notifications. I'm not sure what happened, but it is now visible again!
Thanks. I ordered it immediately when I saw the collection containing Reardon was included and I got it for $68. Looking forward to the base packages one day.
Gabe - perhaps you can explain why the price has been all over the map on this package? When I first saw it, it was near 300$, then yesterday it was nearly 400, and now its 314. I've added /some/ resources - but nothing included in the package; and certainly nothing that should have made nearly a hundred dollar difference.
The contents and pricing haven't changed since launch day (to my knowledge). I know some Orthodox products have shipped over the past week, but none were included in this offering. I think some of the contents were recently on sale for the Verbum.com launch, so I wonder if that somehow affected dynamic pricing? Hard to say for sure, but I will do some digging tomorrow to see if anything has changed since last week.
I suppose it may be tied to the amount of academic discount being offered as well. If items were not on academic discount, or were taken off and others added that might muddy the waters as well.
I've just realized one of the reasons I really like this package. Almost no language-related anything!
Yes, there is an Academic Discount on this bundle, I made sure of that.
I'm glad you like it! It's not a full-blown base package, of course, but for lots of Logos and Verbum users, it gives them a solid start in building an Orthodox library.
What all the base packages need is a starter manual. Something to give those of us interested in but not part of the 'group' instructions on where to start. For example is 'Introducing Eastern Orthodox Theology' or 'Elements of Faith: An Introduction to Orthodox Theology' our best place to start or would you recommend something else?
David, you could take my approach - always start with the liturgy - as one prays so one believes [:D]
That's an interesting and good suggestion, thanks for the idea.

Have you looked at Orthodox Soteriology?

I agree with that suggestion and think that it should apply to church-related and denominational library builders as well.

Yes, I read that thread. At this time it goes deeper into Orthodox Theology then I am ready to follow. Have it tagged for future reference.
I had meant the 'For example' as where a 'starter guide' might start. And imho is needed in all of the subgroups. The second section of that 'starter guide' might cover the history of the group.
A resource in each of these base packages or libraries, organized as an introduction not only to this faith, but also the resources (and how they help) could be really helpful. Using our tagging, we can link to all the appropriate references in one's library.
Sorry for giving you yet more work to do but yes, that could be very helpful. [maybe even to those that already know]
It could be really helpful for Logos's marketing efforts, too. [:)]

I would suggest also publishing it on the website as a Product Guide. It would help people find the 'right' resource to buy, thereby generating more sales.
By the way, because I know there used to be Product Guides on the website, I managed to search and find some, but there seems to be no way to find them if you don't already know about them. They ought to have a line of their own under 'Products'. The best I've seen (unfortunately now outdated and removed) have been very good and helpful, but there's not much sense in writing them if users can't find them...
Late to the game!
Hoping for bundle-breaking now.
Most were available individually before the bundle was created.
The Life of St. John Chrysostom?
I'm doubly late, then!
In a small collection that shipped earlier https://www.logos.com/product/25031/john-chrysostom-collection
That's a different title (and it's being offered free!)
I was referring to the 4-volume work.
4 volume Life? somehow I'm not seeing it - by whom?
Oh, wait, I see it here now.
Wow, it's expensive.
Check out Orthodox Library Builder (257 vols.) https://www.logos.com/product/41250/orthodox-library-builder
Even more expensive but maybe worthwhile.
grrrr, just discovered this whole orthodox forum and deals TODAY. looks like I missed out on some great prices. Been waiting for more Orthodox material for a long time on Logos, glad to see it arrive!
Orthodox base packages are coming.
We'll have more sales, don't worry! [:)]
In fact, I'd highly recommend subscribing to our new blog and email list, as recurring sales are going to be rolling out soon.
Thanks, Gabe!

So, Gabe, I signed up for the email/blog and to get the free book, yesterday. I did not know I had to do another step which was to check my email and click on a link to get the book. Today, I see the email, and tried to click on it, but it looks like it won't allow me to get it for free, even though I signed up yesterday. is that the way it will stay? or can I get the book for signing up? if it is over, that is fine, just checking.
For anyone that hasn't already picked it up, the Orthodox Library Builder is on sale for 15% off during the Logos 6 launch promotion.
is that already reflected on that product page (my dynamic price), or is there a code that takes 15% off of that price?
Whatever price you see (logged in) is the Sale price + your dynamic pricing discount. No coupon code required!
Thanks for your quick reply, Gabe! Looking at it now.
