Hi,

I have 2 questions:

1. We are using the On Screen Bible. Our Pastor reads the verses, however, when he has several verses, there is a hesitation between verses when moving from slide to slide. Is there a way to not have that hesitation?

2. It is hard for him to read the verses using the monitor that is placed in the back. We have tried using the app, however, the verses are blurry and actually a template with the reference on it. Is there a way for it to be not blurry?

I am not sure what you mean by hesitation. Is this when you are using the remote or when controlling at the computer?

For this I would suggest adding the verses to the notes section of the On Screen Bible Item. Then, when viewing the presentation on the Proclaim Remote App, he can switch to the sermon notes view and see the verse text. There is no way to make the thumbnail less blurry because it is a placeholder since the Remote App cannot play videos.

Hi Spencer, thanks for your reply.

By hesitation, I mean it slides up to show the verse. The verse doesn't show right away so he has to pause when he is reading verses that are on more than one slide. For instance, his scripture was 1 Kings 1:32–37. That passage shows up on 2 slides. So there is a hesitation when advancing.

In regards to my 2nd question, I was playing around with the notes section this afternoon. That seems to work, however, I guess I have to copy and paste the verse. Is that correct? I can't get it from Proclaim anywhere? When I did insert the verse, it cuts off part of the verse on the right hand side making it unreadable.

I can only hint at a way to practically overcome the problem as I have decided that the OSB (on screen bible) is a really good way of presenting the text to the congregation.

I have had to practice with my team so as to get them to advance the text before I reach the end of the text on the screen with my voice. It needs to be advanced early enough to allow a smooth transition in the reading and late enough that I have retained the last couple of words in my head.

Most of us read in advance of what we speak so with practice the procedure becomes very slick and well presented.

This is correct, you will have to copy and paste the verse to the notes. As for the notes being cut off, we have shipped a remote update the should be published to the app store very soon and it contains a fix for the bug you are describing.

I was just testing out the notes and was controlling from the iPad. I noticed the slides don't advance when I am looking at the notes. Should they be advancing? We still want to have someone run Proclaim from the computer but the Pastor wants to read the notes from his iPad and see the slides advance.

Are you saying that the slide thumbnails being shown aren't updating when, for example, you are in the pre-service loop and the slides are auto advancing?
