Sda Gold: What should it contain
From what Martin has said the base packages should ship sometime toward the ending of this month. https://www.logos.com/sda
Plans are under way to build a Gold package. What should Logos Sda Gold include
1. All of the material found here at the Adventist Biblical Research Institure that is not already in silver.
2. The Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary Expanded Edition
3. The Ellen G. White Encyclopedia
5. Books by Roy E. Gane
What else do you want?

Great suggestions. Licensing complications prevent some books from inclusion in a base package (given the discounts, etc.). And please remember it will be a number of months before Gold will be doable.

Martin,
Since the Whole logos system is set up for BIBLE study, I would like to see more versions of the Bible included in the Gold package. A good selection of the following as a suggestion: NASB, NIV, KJVA(apocrypha), KJVSB, RSF, GNT, TLB, AMP. I find using different versions often give a more full understanding of a given text.
Thanks for your consideration!
Alan

Prior to an evangelistic series often members go door to door and offer Bible studies to prep the community. One problem with some Bible studies is that they often depend on one version of the Bible to get the 'correct' answer. But what version will your students from the community have available?
I have used the following list of Bibles to see if a study 'blows up':
English Standard Version
The Holman Christian Standard Bible
King James Version
The Lexham English Bible
The NET Bible
New American Bible: Revised Edition
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update
The New International Version (1984)
The New Jerusalem Bible
The New King James Version
New Revised Standard Version: Catholic Edition
Revised Standard Version, Second Catholic Edition[Yes, my list has four so called 'Catholic' versions - what version will you find behind the door you knock on? Is 'your' Bible study looking for ideas or just certain words?] [Over the years that I have been using Logos I have added almost all English translations offered]

Saw this problem with someone relying on the wording of the KJV when the student was using the NIV.
Fortunately, the individual was able to make the same point from another scripture that did not clash with the NIV.

If I know where it will 'blow up' I can find a backup verse or three before the student needs one. [Don't offer it before we need it but have it ready - lots of work to do when you are using a pre-printed study - but maybe you should take the study yourself before offering it to a student - and be sure you report all items found to the publisher]

I understand that it is probably not very likely to make it into SDA Gold, since this is neither an SDA product nor included in any other base package, but the Tyndale Commentaries (49 volumes) is just perfect for the typical SDA pastor's digital library. It is commentaries of medium size - perfect length for a someone preparing a sermon or sabbath school class, and they are conservative and with well with the SDA view of the Scriptures.
The other denominational packages (Verbum, Reformed, Lutheran, Anglican) have customers with a greater variety of views along the conservative<>critical continuum, but customers of the SDA package are probably pretty conservative and would really enjoy the Tyndale series.

Is this SDA Gold still in the works?
Will Froom's The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers be available soon? I would like this just as it is and am willing to get it as is.

Yes, Logos Gold is still in the works. It is extremely challenging getting licensing for resources--nothing more complex or elusive in all my four decade work history. Phone calls often don't get returned, emails go unanswered, and then I must navigate the committee process with all their own delays and complexities.
I press on.
PFOF is on my list.
Thanks for your patience and prayers!

Hello Martin Weber,
I have bought the SDA logos silver software two weeks ago. In the advertising site page for silver sda, there were at least 131 sda resources. For my surprising, after trying open the library I did not find any sda resources there. Another thing, usually when I trying open the library often appear just 10 books from the collection "The bible and its Story". In the advertisement everything is perfect, it is a dream. Before I bought the software the seller man answered my questions very quickly and used to give me fast answer for any question. After I bought the software anybody can answer me why I not find the sda resources at my library and often open just 10 books. If you could give me an advice I would appreciate your help. Thank you, Elias

Goto logos.com
In the Products box enter SDA sliver
Click on SDA silver
Click on show more under More details about these resources
That list will show what you should have[This works for most base packages]

Can you list which books you have. Make sure that the email address that you used to purchase the software, is the same one that you are using in the software.
Please list which books you have in your library.

Elias, I checked and indeed you do own Logos SDA Silver. If you already have Logos on your computer, restart it and your resources should download. One way to test of you have SDA Silver is to see if the book "A Christian Worldview and Mental Health" shows up in your library. The only package that includes that book is SDA Silver.

Thank you for telling me about this logo software sense I go on my logos software. It has many important readings that I can get help from and become more involved in the church. In being an Adventist I can feel supported with friends around the world I can contact.
