Lack of page numbers affecting parallel resources

I have noticed that the Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology does not show up in the list of parallel resources when I am looking at bible dictionaries. I inquired about it and was told that it was because it did not have page numbers.
I was just curious if anyone knew why not having page numbers in a resource would prevent it from being listed as a parallel resource.
Just curious.
Thanks
Alan

Hmm. Not having page numbers is a strange answer.

Suspect something is amiss with resource metadata. The Wycliffe Bible Encyclopedia (WBE) does not have page numbers, but the headword index can be used.
Opened Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology (EDBT) to Sermon on the Mount, found could right click, choose headword, then drag Power Lookup to a panel. Noticeably missing is EDBT, but WBE could be opened to English Headword:

We know that what's missing in EDBT is Large Text (the entry on the resource info page only refers to the title!), but I would have expected the Headwords to drive the parallel resource. But maybe it's just an internal flag (when we build collections, we can click "show in parallel resources" yes/no, maybe something exists on the resource level) - this resource is very old and not even the picture is right.

Parallel Resources is driven by Indexes, but not Page number (nor VolumePage) e.g throw TDNT in a collection of Apostolic Fathers, having VolumePage in common. If TDNT is open and in no other collection of parallel resources I get the message "No parallel resources". But if it is also in a collection of lexicons that lexicon collection is the only one listed. Conversely, when an Apostolic Father resource is open, TDNT is not listed with the Apostolic Fathers in the collection that includes TDNT.

Yep - so the info Alan received seems to be wrong. However, the question remains why EDBT (which is indexed by English Headwords) doesn't come up in collections of parallel resources nor in all parallel resources - I tested with the entry "Eve", e.g. coming from LBD. I found that some resources have a small headword-indexed glossary (such as CCC and Believer's Bible Commentary) and thus come up, whereas EDBT is nowhere to be seen.
EDIT: the IVP Pocket Dictionaries and NDT share the lack of Large Text, but they come up. Seems to be a resource issue with EDBT

It looks like the Baker Evangelical Dictionary of Theology (as opposed to the Baker Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology) has the same issue. I'm guessing whatever is the issue with one, is the issue with the other as well

yep, confirm (second edition, that is)

Any suggestions on a next step (if any) that I should take regarding this issue. It's not a major deal, but if it something the could be fixed without much trouble, it would be nice.

Create a BUG thread mentioning the resource and link to this thread.

LimJK,
I have no idea if these issues are related at all.
One thing that allows quickly to see the error discussed here in this thread: the affected resources don't show up in their own parallel resources lists, i.e. when you invoke parallel resources from inside the resource, you will see correct collections plus the "all" listing, but the entry of the resource itself - which would be marked with an orange side bar in the list - is lacking.

Alan,
I made a correction to the milestone metadata, and now it is showing up in my parallel resources list. After closing and opening Logos, would you mind testing it again?
Thank you for your help!

Do I need to update or download anything first
Thanks

You will need to sync, but that should happen automatically unless you have no internet connection or you have it disabled in the setting panel.
You do not need to download any book resources.

Nothing seems to be different as far as I can tell

I restarted Logos again and now it seems to be working correctly.
Thanks. That was very helpful and fast.
