Works of JI Packer Regent College/Publishing
Logos formated books are capable of sustaining audiofiles (see the Vantil collection for an example). I would love to see the following :
1. All of JI Packer's Regent Audio Lectures available in Logos.
2. The 4 volume collection of JI Packer's collected shorter writings.

I've talked in person with Bill Reimer of the Regent Bookstore / Regent College Publishing about the possibility of them working with Logos to get some of their books into digital format. He didn't sound all that positive about the idea. I think he's talked to Logos about it before and the terms were not desirable, or something like that. Regent College Publishing is a very small outfit, and the numbers they sell are very low. They have recently been bringing out some Kindle editions of their books, but it doesn't sound like Logos ones will be forthcoming any time soon. [:(]

It seems that some publishers (large and small) feel this way. But since they have electronic files available, maybe you can talk to him again, tell him to forget the Logos discussion and explicitly ask for a contract with Vyrso.com.
Have joy in the Lord!

That's a good idea.

Well, look what just showed up in pre-pub today, by J.I. Packer! From Regent College Publishing, no less. I guess I'll eat my words. Hoping to see more from them in the coming weeks.

Don't eat them yet! We licensed this through Paternoster/Authentic Media (see the Product Details toward the bottom of the page). I'm not sure why it's tagged Regent College (maybe they have the print rights ...).
We are talking with Bill at Regent (I also had a long phone conversation with Dr. Packer) but to my knowledge nothing has happened on that front yet.

Hi Ben
These works were developed at Regent (I was the editor of the original 4 volumes during my time at Regent~1996). They were originally published in hardcover by Paternoster in the later 1990's. They were then republished by Regent College/Publishing in 2008 with slightly different titles. My wife gave me a copy of one of the books as a present -- a new book by Dr Packer, and then I saw my name and realized the connection

Thanks for the info Jim. Also, glad to meet another Regent grad! I was there just over a decade after you [:D]
