I am wondering if Proclaim is capable of displaying a "stage Display" that allows our speakers and musicians to view the main display via a third display. Is this possible?
Thanks!
yes, I was wondering the same thing... This is a very important feature that I couldn't find on Proclaim as well as live video as background.
This is planned for a future release. You can also use the Proclaim remote on an iPhone (and soon on an iPad, with adaptive layout) to follow a presentation, so you could put an iPad on a music stand, for example, and see the lyrics being projected.
All the "stage display" functions in ProPresenter are very important for the TV production of our weekly Bible Teaching segment. Any idea how long before these features will be available in Proclaim?
I have the app, and have used it to control the presentation, can't seem to see how to view the presentation
Not sure what you mean by viewing the presentation. Do you mean just look at the slides w/o controlling the presentation? Also, it would be helpful to know what type of device you have the app on.
It looks like this was a pretty old thread based on the OP date. But, we would really like to see a stage view function. But, I can't seem to find that anywhere. It seems like it's really close it just needs some tweaks to get it there.
1. Ideally, it wouldn't require an app and just a web page, but I don't have an issue with it using the Proclaim app out there for Android, etc.
2. I don't mind it requiring the Proclaim app, but I would need to see it accessible by those not in the group (ie: it shouldn't require a login but should just look for any presentation on the local LAN. It should allow viewing by anyone who opens it.
3. It would not allow control by default but just viewing. The view would be advanced by the "on-air" system. So, any viewers would have the slides advance automatically in their "view".
4. Allowing remote access should be granted by the on-air system. It doesn't require a per user permission, just permission that remote viewing is allowed.
5. Most of this is already done by others (ie: OpenLP) except Proclaim should be able to do it better since they would allow the actual slide to be seen and not just text.
I'd like to see a commitment to this feature along with a date.
Thanks,Keith
This is actually a pretty important feature for us that other packages offer. Can someone on the Logos/Proclaim side make a comment as to whether this is planned or not and what the timing might be?
Essentially, it doesn't sound like it would be too major of a change since it's actually a reduced feature set of the current application. Essentially, you want to show the presentation as you do while not allowing the control. It would be nice to have this as a setting by user (control allowed or not), but it would OK to just have a switch in the PC displaying machine saying "Allow control" or not.
Keith
We have a "follow" feature spec'd for the Proclaim Remote mobile app. This will allow users to follow along with an on air presentation without the ability to control it. I don't have a date for you but we are actively working on native rewrites of the iOS and Android apps.
Thanks Scott. That's the kind of feature I was asking about and the kind of answer I was looking for.
*EDIT* One additional feature that would really be useful and related would be the ability to send messages from the on-air computer that is just seen by the app in follow mode. So, essentially the same thing as you have where you can send a message to the output monitor, except that it would just go the app. Not the end of the world to not have it, but something that would be useful.
