Pentecostal Base Package ETA?
With all the new shiny base packages (which is great), any ETA on the Pentecostal one?

That would be neat!

We think alike Mike. But your wallet seems to agree with your tastes, and mine does not.

I don't think they have a Pentecostal/Charismatic product manager, so don't get your hopes up any time soon. They had an acting one, but he hasn't posted here since Dec, and I saw someone else posted elsewhere that whoever they had in that post had left. I guess they'll probably be searching for a new one. But don't expect a Pentecostal base package until they have hired someone who can put one together.

I have been contacting a few schools requesting faculty to make suggestions for titles for a Pentecostal/Charismatic series of base packages, however, it appears the faculty have been too busy to make suggestions thus far.

I know that I looked through the long way by searching all by Pentecostal and then charismatic and the list is long with many references that are definitely not Pentecostal or charismatic. Tags for several references and books come from all over the spectrum. It is a true task for whoever puts the base packages together. May the Lord truly move to put a good team together that can sort it all out. I do know there are a lot of books or packages in pre-pub or comm that are true candidates. It has me excited to have them worked on and eventually released as so many base packages have recently been. Anxiously waiting.

Any more progress on this? Would love to get a P/C base package!

Has anyone thought of contacting the Assemblies of God HQ in Springfield MO? I'm sure they will have some suggestions.

B-I-N-G-O. That's the source you want in order to get solid Pentecostal material. I'd contact AGTS (the Seminary) and see if someone there couldn't help out with suggestions. Perhaps one of my old profs.

just want to confirm that Rich Tatum doesnt work for Logos anymore. On his facebook profile he was "PR/Marketing Specialist · Bellingham, Washington · Apr 8, 2013 to Jan 9, 2014" Hope Logos will find soon somebody else to hire

Would Jimmy Swaggart's commentaries be welcome in a Pentecostal/Charismatic base package? I would hope so.

We already have some AOG resources in Logos. All Global University textbooks etc. are from the AoG. So most probably they work on other materials also.

I would suggest that a Pentecostal base package include:
the Berean school of the bible (27 book/course bundle)
the works of Stanley Horton
the works of Gordon Fee
the works of Jack Hayford
the works of Jimmy Swaggart
the works of Peter Wagner
the works of Craig Keener
the works of George Wood (some of his books are in vyrso)
the works of Andrew Murray
the works of Jack Deere (some of his books are in vyrso)
These are my suggestions. I add these in hopes that someone from Logos will look at them. What do you guys think of these? Are there other works that you would like to suggest?

Could also try the Church of God (Cleveland Tenn) since they were formed in the 1880's. Formed in 1886 I believe. Like a Mighty Army (Charles W. Conn) Pathway Press. Pathway Press has many more resources also. Church of God (Cleveland TN) and Assemblies of God are almost identical. Oh, just a thought, Pentecostals are the oldest - Acts/upper room.

Pathway Press is indeed the official publishing house of Church of God and has many useful resources. It would also be good to get the official Journal which is called Evangel in Logos.
Stephen Land would be another good author to add to the list as would Keith Warrington.

Here's a list of Pentecostal books and another on Spiritual Gifts that some of you might want to look through to consider which ones are worth recommending for a base package. I'm not Pentecostal myself so I can't assess how good it these are. I just stumbled upon them when I realized that Goodreads is a good place to look for book lists.

I would like to see all the books by Tommy Tenney from vyrso included In the package.

Also include all of the books by Perry Stone from vyrso in the collection. I think that he is a member of the AOG.

Actually, he's with the Church of God (Cleveland, TN).

Still nothing? This is really a neglected base in Logos. [:(]

Yes, it is. Maybe Logos should hire a half dozen new product managers.Gary Osborne said:Still nothing? This is really a neglected base in Logos.
