Vyrso Book Typos
Is there a mechanism in place to report and have addressed typos occurring in books released in Vyrso format?

- I assume "Yes", the same mechanism in any Logos resource... You must do this through L5.
- Vyrso resources are "bare bones" and generally come "as is" from the publisher. Logos doesn't do the same maintenance work on Vyrso books that they do on Logos edition resources.
- Is the issue really a typo, or something else? Care to give some examples?

Thanks Alabama I should have been more clear with my question. I was reading The Portent on my Fire and wondered if there was a way to report the typo straight from your reading device. You have answered the question and I thank you. I will report the typo from my laptop as you have indicated. I'm sorry there is no direct way of handling the error. Below is a screenshot the Note icon marks the word "chip" which I believe should read "chin."

Serendipity. My hand inadvertently contacted the Share To icon which got me thinking; could I email the typo to logosbugs@logos.com?

I am not sure if there is an email address or not. It seems to me that I heard of one... but logosbugs doesn't seem like the right one. I think the best bet is from within L5... but it isn't convenient when you are on mobile. This is a frequent complaint.
On another note: Isn't the book you are using one actually published by Logos? If so, there is a greater chance of getting the typo fixed... I would think. Perhaps you could contact the imprint directly: http://kirkdalepress.com/contact/

By a fortunate happenstance I have come across a selection in Settings which allows Report typos to be checked (active) and unchecked (blocked). This is the situation for my Amzn Fire HD; it appears however that my iphone 5S lacks this capability I find this to be unfortunate, something that I hope will be addressed with an update.
Before this discovery I did send error reports to logosbugs@logos.com I don't know what became of them. I wish I had kept a record but alas I failed to do so. In the meantime I will try to recall the location of at least one of these errors so I can give an account of the facility of this functionality. Perhaps those of you with other devices can report whether or not you have this feature on board i.e., Android or ipad.

I am unsure what you mean by this. Care to post a screen shot?

This would only apply to iOS users (iPad | iPhone) since you yourself are using an Android device (Amazon Kindle Fire).

I'm investigating how I might do a screenshot of my Fire and include it on a post to the forums. I've never done this before so it may take awhile.

Amzn Fire is sort of an atypical Android device so it sometimes doesn't always follow what is true for the typical Android devices.

All Android devices are atypical Android devices. [:P] (Android is highly fragmented... The fire is just one example of that fragmentation).
Are you saying that Logos makes a separate version of the app for the Fire? Isn't the app the same on all Android devices?

Okay,
I am now prepared to report (thanks to Alabama who had me give a screenshot of my example typo) that the functionality works!
What you have to do once you have selected the option to report typos is to touch and hold on the word which will produce a pop up that has among its options Report typo, you select this and report as prompted.

By the way, when I submit a typo while offline, will it be queued, to be transmitted later?

Hey Jan! It might be better to ask the question in the Android forum. This forum is really about Vyrso resources and the VYrso store. Questions about the app should be directed to either the Android or iOS forum.

Yes, the Android Reader apps include an option to report typos from the app. It's off by default and can be enabled via the settings menu as you discovered. Once enabled, the "Report Typo" options appears in the text selection menu. This option is something I added over a weekend in my free time, which is why it isn't yet available on iOS. I'm not sure if/when it will be added.

Yes, the Logos apps are the same on all Android devices, with the exception that we hide the "Store" tab if you install the app through Amazon's app store (per their guidelines/restrictions)

On Android, yes. On Logos Desktop, no.
