Line Spacing

Proclaim is a great program, but it still has some kinks that need to be worked out. For one, our congregation is used to having the lines spaced out more (1.5 as opposed to 1) and no matter how much I try to change the line height, the lines stay close together. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Also, does anyone know how to make the ccli credits go onto multiple lines so that it can be bigger than the tiny line across the bottom of a slide?

I've also experienced difficulty in formatting the text of slides with certain backgrounds. These things almost make the software more complicated than copying and pasting music onto power point slides, and I think the programmers should seriously look into improving these things.

If you are having trouble with formatting slides, could you elaborate? What exactly is giving you trouble when formatting a slide? Does it only happen on certain backgrounds, or are all backgrounds giving you trouble?

I am referring to the Line Height in a song slide or text slide. The Line Height option does not appear to do anything.

Also, is there a place to find out the best way to edit song slides. The information online does not give enough detail. It is easy to just add another chorus or verse, but what if you want a blank slide in the middle of a song when there is a music interlude. Or what about adding an extra line to the chorus on just slide instead of all the chorus slides. I currently make a Chorus 2 slide and paste in the extra line. Also what titles are available: Verse (1,2,3,etc), Chorus (1,2,3,etc), Pre-Chorus, Bridge, and Ending. Is there anything else? It would be nice to some of these basics written down somewhere.

From my experience the line height needs to exceed the font size. For instance, if you have a font size of 80 then a line height of 90 or more should spread out the lines.

In regards to "non-standard" headers, anything can be put between square brackets "[" & "]" and then referred to in the song order.

I always go to the end of the lyrics and add a new section labeled "[Blank]" and then add an empty line after it. Thereafter I can refer to it as "Blank" in my song order anytime I need a blank slide.

Another shortcut is the use of short names for song sections. For example, you can refer to "Chorus 1" as "C1" in the song order.

Thanks Tom that does help. It would be nice if there was more basic information like that written down instead of having to search the forums. The videos and articles are all too general without the help like that.

While we are at it. What is the best way to add bullet points to a sermon content slide? There does not appear to be a way to bring in one bullet point at a time. Do you just duplicate and make a new slide for each point. It would be nice to have some transitions within a slide.

Unfortunately this is the best workaround for this missing feature. We have something coming soon that should help here.
