When I import a power point it does not give me the option to control the slides via power point. I watched the video and it showed that option. Thanks for any help.
When importing the PowerPoint you have to select the "Transfer control to PowerPoint" option. You also need to be on a Windows machine for this to work.
Okay. I use a Mac, so I’ll just switch to Power Point from Proclaim. No big deal. Just thought that would be a little more convenient. Thanks
Hi David
I am between churches at the moment so don't have a current licence for Proclaim so I may have the sequence slightly mis-remembered - however when I used to do this I found that the smoothest way to make the transition was
Cue up Keynote/Power Point on a second space with everything ready to run (Control Screen on the Laptop - Presentation Screen on the Projector)
Change to a different 'Space'
Start up Proclaim and go on Air.
At the point Keynote/Power Point is required - Hit the off air button - switch to the Keynote/Power Point space and hit play.
If you do this quite quickly the congregation will only see a quick flash of the background and non of the computer workings that the Amateurs assail their viewers with.
We currently switched to a Mac, after about two updates and patches for proclaim later, we noticed that ALL power point presentations, proclaim changed the fonts and letter spacing and sizes. We are having to switch back to power point itself for the sermon. Is there a way to keep the original presentation? This is making things complicated for Sunday service.
We use a plugin from a third party to import from Power Point into Proclaim and it is not matching the correct fonts.
As a work around, many just use Power Point to export each slide as an image and then add those images to a Proclaim Image slide show Service Item. We are continuing to work with the third party vendor to fix these font matching issues but I don't have a date or timetable to when it will be fixed.
