In the edit window for a content slide, I can put in a costume text box. Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find anyway to put separate text into. Need some help.
The text box for the custom caption you have added will appear above the text boxes that the slide originally had (If the slide had any text boxes). For example, I created a content item, used a generic background, added a custom caption and the edit text box appears above the main content text box.
I'm trying to add more than 1 text box on a custom slide. Is that possible?
Yes it is. You should be able to add as many text boxes as you like. They will populate above the original text box in the edit view as I showed in my previous post.
That's what I thought, but I can't get it to happen. If it's possible for you to evaluate our church's site, I have a slide up at the moment and I only see one place to edit text. Our site is Hawkeye SDA presentations. If you could look at that I would be most grateful. [:D]
Thanks Spencer for your assistance.
If you can't evaluate personally, here is a screen shot of my desktop.
Hi Richard - Here is how it works for me...
Each time I want to add a new text box I click the symbol circled in red and select 'Custom' from the drop down menu.
When I want to change the appearance of the text I click on its box to highlight it.
Hello Richard,
Here is what I see when I impersonate your account.
Are you running the latest version of the application? What OS version are you on? If you could provide your Proclaim.log file that might help as well.
Windows:
Hey Scott, OS is Windows 8.1 The version of proclaim I have is 1.24.0.0522.
Nothing stands out in the log file. Are you able to reproduce the same behavior if you create a new service item? Do you use Proclaim on any other computers? curious if the problem is reproducible there.
I did some checking Scott and this is what I've found. When I put a background on a slide from my proclaim library even if it happens to be one that I uploaded myself, I can put as many custom text boxes as I want. But when I put a new content slide in the line up and upload a background or picture to place on the slide that I have just made and proclaim automatically inserts it for me, then I can't access the custom text box. Even if I put the text box in after picture has been placed. Now how weird is that. I can reproduce the same problem over and over if I do it in that sequence, but only that way. If use one out of the proclaim library yours or mine then it doesn't do it.
