At last! Lifeworks of Ellen G. White available in Logos
EGW's Lifeworks are now posted in pre-publication to be recompiled into the latest Logos technology!
Anyone who already purchased the writings of EGW (through the now-retired Expanded edition of the SDA Bible Commentary) will get a free update--so sit tight for now as this pre-pub gets funded.
Here is the posting--rejoice with me this Sabbath day!

What great news! Thanks for all your work on this, Martin!
Do you know approximately how long it will take to go from pre-pub to actually available?

It's on the fast track, Timothy. Can't predict a specific timeline--this is a massive lifeworks library.

It looks like Logos has already grayed out the purchase button for me because of my Jan 7, 2013 purchase of the commentary!
That is really on the ball! Thanks.

Mine is greyed out as well.

It is moving very slowly. Come one people. Her writings will now show up in the passage guide. What are you waiting for, get on board. I want this for Christmas.

I am putting it on my Facebook. Everyone with Logos needs this. This is the most important reason for Logos!

What are the differences in the EGW Library that is in the now retired "Expanded edition of the SDA Bible Commentary"?
What enhancements will be available in the new Life works Library?
Excellent $ Price $ for such a important and expansive library.[:)] Worth every penny. These are the most important writings ever besides to the Bible.

Updated tagging. Search a resource by sub fields, large texts etc..
If you have the Expanded edition of the Bible Commentary registered with Logos, then the updated Ellen White writings should be grayed out (provided you are signed in to the forum with the same email and password that you use on the software.
This means you do not pay for it, just download it when it is released.

Fred, the great benefit from improved tagging is that now all Bible texts that she cites will be recognized as such by Logos. So when you are preparing a sermon or studying a particular passage in the Bible, Logos can give you all the places in her writings where she quoted that specific Bible text. I really look forward to that.

Wondering if the slow movement has to do with probably most serious sda users already have the writings so its greyed out and can't add to the movement

You may be on to something. Need persons outside the forums to know about this.

Once the recompiling process has been completed, this problem and any others will be rectified. EGW Lifeworks has the highest priority for Logos right now, but it's a huge undertaking and I can't predict exactly when it will be completed. I'll keep you updated.
