Bug: upgrade price for silver
In looking at the upgrade price for the SDA silver bundle, I see that I would receive 1 new resource- the Ellen G. White LifeWorks collection. It then lists its individual price as $54.95 and my exclusive upgrade price as $160.51. Is this really true?
i already have Logos 6 Portfolio.

How many datasets in support of new features? that's where I'd expect to see the bulk of the cost.

In this case, I believe it is a bug. I'm able to duplicate it. SDA silver for me is $160.51 and the only resource it adds is the Ellen G White Lifeworks collection. Interestingly enough, SDA bronze is $144.82 and (only) adds the Lifeworks set also. Either there are additional resource it adds that aren't listed on the page (explaining the high price) or the price should be lower to reflect the resources contained in the upgrade.
For reference, SDA starter is greyed out bc I have all the resources already.

Same with me, but no one at Logos appears interested which is worrying if people are buying at the wrong price.

I'm sure it's part of the new datasets in L6 (though not all of them). though your price is suprising, because I had L5 SDA Silver + EGW/SDABC set and my upgrade to L6 SDA Silver was less than your price and I was getting IVP NT Commentary and some 8 more of the W.W. "Be" series" in addition to a couple of other books. (Of course I did have another BP - Scholars X plus many other books I've purchased.)

Cannot find it, but if you poke around on the website, there should be a chat option. If not use Skype and call them.

Proper pricing is extremely important to us here at Faithlife, and to me as your SDA representative. My philosophy is to price SDA resources as low as possible so they can be widely available, including in those parts of the world where our pastoral colleagues are poverty stricken. To offer the Ellen G. White Lifeworks with its 402 documents at the cost of just $69.95--and to get them into two base packages--took lots of effort on our part and goodwill with our friends at the White Estate. Indeed, proper pricing is vitally important--and dynamic pricing (a unique Faithlife blessing) is extremely complex. So hang in there with us as we investigate the questions on this thread. Thank you!

Progress report . . . part of the dynamic pricing issue may be that related information for your accounts is cached in eight-hour blocks, due to heavy traffic. There may be delays in your correct pricing being refreshed. We are checking if there are other factors.

We believe the dynamic pricing issue has been resolved. If you discover otherwise, keep me updated on this forum. Thanks,

Kenneth, something is definitely broken.

As Logos can easily check what our upgrade prices are it is depressing that they decided it was fixed apparently without checking.

If you could try again in the morning and email me your results/screenshot, it would be appreciated. I do know that certain features on our mobile sites/app were disabled during the server issues, and that might be part of the problem. It might not be, but it's good to rule everything out.
We aren't seeing any issues with the product itself, but we'll keep investigating.

FWIW, I'm showing your dynamic price to indeed be $188. However, it only shows the Ellen G. White Lifeworks Collection as an unowned resource. Obviously something is "off" with either that product or the underlying system. I'll keep digging. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I have discovered the root cause of this issue, and hopefully Dev can roll out a permanent fix sometime tomorrow. I'll update again in this thread when it's resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience, again, and thanks for your patience.

Its now fallen to $24 which while better still seems high for one $55 resource in a base package, is it still really this high?

So now we know why the Orthodox base packages are not yet ready.
They have you working everywhere and don't give you any time to work on that project. [:P]
Thanks for the help. Here and everywhere else.

Yes, I oversee all of our "tradition" specific base package and product lines, so that is quite a handful. We're the World Council of Churches here at Logos Faithlife.

As an update, the upgrade price for anyone purchasing SDA Bronze or Silver has now been corrected. The total SRP on the backend for the Ellen G. White Lifeworks was too high, causing a higher-than-expected Dynamic Price (since that is based on SRP).
If this is the *only* collection you don't own in either SDA Bronze or Silver, your dynamic upgrade should be around $25 or so. Keep in mind that since it's on Pre-Pub right now (for the improved tagging), you may not show as owning that product until it "ships" in full, separate from the base package.
For those who purchased either SDA Bronze or Silver this week (10/27 through 10/29) and did not already own these 402 Ellen G. White resources, we will be sending you an email with information on a refund for the difference in price.
[If you believe you should've received an email/refund, and haven't by the end of the week, please contact me directly and we'll look into it for you.]

Thank you, Gabe, for deciphering this dilemma.
