Several users have been reporting issues when playing videos and motion backgrounds on Windows machines. Videos either would not play or would freeze the app. In most cases, it seems to be an issue with updates to video card drivers, so here is a workaround while we work towards a solution. Since it is most likely related to video card drivers, disabling hardware acceleration via a registry key seems to help videos play correctly (Note: Only do this if you cannot play both uploaded videos and existing Proclaim Media, or if playing videos are causing Out of Memory crashes).
You will be able to do this by downloading the file here:Â https://www.dropbox.com/s/hzopard11g3ktna/DisableHWAcceleration.reg.RENAME
Once this file is downloaded, rename it from 'DisableHWAcceleration.reg.RENAME' to 'DisableHWAcceleration.reg'. After this is done, double click the file and it will create and enable the correct registry key. After doing this, restart your computer.
Please report back to us if you can or cannot reproduce this behavior after following the previous steps. Also, if you could provide us with full system specs (including info on your video card) that would be very helpful.
