PowerPoint Embedded does not use animations and attached does not work

We have a problem with embedded PowerPoint not using animations and the recommendation of attaching PowerPoint files instead of embedding also does not work as the PowerPoint's don't get launched on the presentation machine. The big hassle with attaching is that you have to do it on the computer you're presenting from instead of preparing in advance. And then the big pain is that the PowerPoint files are not then launched.

We either have to put up with PowerPoint using loads of slides and using transitions between slides and losing functionality, or attaching and then actually manually launching the PowerPoint files or tabbing between programs.

All in all not ideal !

Please can we have a reliable solution?

The "Transfer control to PowerPoint" option is reliable on 2010 and previous versions of PowerPoint but can have issues on PowerPoint 2013. The issue has been reported to the third party vendor which supplies this component but we don't have a solution from them at this time.

We are working to improve PowerPoint import support, and allow more PowerPoint features to work on imported slides. Then they will be synced via the cloud with the rest of the presentation.

Thank you for your replies. It is useful to know that the issue relates to PowerPoint 2013 rather than yourselves. That said it does not help us in the short term it is however good to know that you are aware of the issue. I will look into considering downgrading to 2010 on the presentation computer to resolve this issue.

I would be grateful if you could let me know once you believe the 2013 version issue has been resolved [:)]
